If only that really did enough to make it worth using. It doesn't hide their posts, just blocks you from seeing the contents of it and doesn't block anyone responding to it, you still see those clear as day. So you can still check a thread with 10+ pages of posts to have it all either have the content blocked and responses to it where you are still stuck sifting through that. So not really a worthwhile ignore.

But then it hides threads they create so even if they create a crap thread that turns into something worth reading, you won't see it at all, even if they only posted the first post and then ran.

As it stands, the ignore feature on here honestly isn't worth using in its current state IMO. The codemonkey script that combines with it to actually hide comments that you have blocked is needed to even make it half worth using.

You might want to edit that, you typed in cease instead of seize, had to click the link to figure out exactly what was meant.
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
    "mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

You barely have enough for military bases. Everything is based on four submarines (4), of which only one is on active patrol. De facto that means no second strike capability, as subs are quite unlikely to have a base to return to load the other half.

Russia as country collapses, I mean that. UK alone can't do it.

Compare that to the technological juggernaut that NATO is said to be.

So unless you're referring to Russians, which I don't doubt because Putin would nuke his country if he was cornered within its confines, who else would die in droves?

it's not a shtick because this is reality: Putin's army is as mad as he is. Out of desperation or stress, they're committing every war crime imaginable.

This is the most evil army unleashed since Imperial Japan and Tojo

Every day NATO doesn't take direct action, it gets worse and worse. Unless Putin goes through with his threat and attacks the supply convoys...nothing will happen

Geesh it's amazing how you know what the future will bring, but can't grasp a SIMPLE concept.

NATO is a defensive alliance, protecting it's members. Keyword here is MEMBERS, is Ukraine a member? No, there's your answer to why NATO arent attacking Russia.

Yes NATO would beat the shit out of Russia, but still take loses that are significant, yes Russia knows this, no that does not mean that NATO will attack Russia, because Ukraine IS NOT A MEMBER.

NATO does not 1) Attack countries because youtube videos say they'll try to take over the world. 2) Attack countries because they're weaker than NATO, then they could attack everyone.

NATO is not the world police, nor is it looking for a fight against Russia.

Now re-read that 5 times, and then next time you think "duh but why doesnt NATO help?!?!" you already know the answer. You might not like it, but that's the answer. NATO protects it's members, not members neighbours or attack "would be new world masters according to youtube videos."

Anyone seen the video doing the rounds on Reddit? Protestors in Moscow, I believe, being interviewed on camera. One holds up a tiny piece of paper and gets instantly taken away by the police.

The a second woman is interviewed, and starts to say that she supports what Russia is doing....and the police take her away as well.

"Criticise Putin, that's an arrest. Support Putin? Believe it or not, arrest".

Admittedly it is not its purpose, nor is it in its status, but it does have a history of doing the former. The latter is alas a matter of widely differing perspective.

I think you should really stop engaging genuine lunatics with conversation.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

yes. Putin is absolute evil with no margin for sympathy or mercy, as are those that enforce his will.

Russia would have been left utterly alone if they hadn’t been actively working to obfuscate, sabotage, and otherwise harangue other countries, whether in the form of troll farms, dark money contributions, or… you know, invading neighboring countries.

Putin could have kept living it up as ersatz dictator of Russia with all his oligarch cronies siphoning public funds, offing political rivals, black-bagging dissenters and turning a blind eye to the brutalization of minorities. But no, he has to get it in his mind that, if he couldn’t make Russia better (that takes work mind you,) he’d have to make other countries worse. And hey, if that didn’t work out… why not try to rebuild the already failed nation-state of the USSR?

Nobody wants to “take Russia.” They just want Russia to stop fucking with them. Every sanction brought against Russia, every political eye leveled in consternation at them, all of it… is entirely Russias own doing.

Its completely messed. In the US I just think it's a little ironic when I certain people highlight brutality taking place their protests but hand waved protesters getting tear gassed so Trump could take a picture and look tough.

And the people dismissing the brutal treatment of protestors in the US are the same people defending Russia and there invasion.

'Pregnant woman whose rescue from bombed hospital became emblematic of the war in Ukraine dies with baby'

A pregnant woman who was pictured being evacuated from a bombed maternity hospital in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol has died along with her baby.

She was rushed to another hospital following the Russian attack last week, the AP news agency reported.

As doctors tried to save her - and realising she was losing her baby - she is said to have cried out: "Kill me now!"

Her hip was crushed and her pelvis detached, surgeon Timur Marin discovered.

The infant was delivered via caesarean section but showed "no signs of life", the surgeon added.
    Just fucking awful man.

Sadly Russia is now in a position to start turning up the violence. Access to major roads and cities will start being controlled by the Russian military with checkpoints popping up. Putin will likely hasten the pace of the war as economic pressure eats away at the Russian economy. Unfortunately that means heavier weapons. Defensive forces will be backed into corners that allow attackers to better isolate and deal with resistance. All will in an effort to prepare for urban street-to-street door-to-door combat if a ceasefire doesn't come before that. An insurgency is going to rise up in the aftermath regardless.

There will be more reports of civilian buildings being hit. I don't know enough about Russian ROEs to say whether they are being indiscriminate or not but it is expected. It does not immediately mean they are attacking civilians, but it could be possible. Civilian buildings like schools, hospitals, sturdy apartments, naturally make good places to hunker down in, that's why you will hear about xzy country leveling one of the types of buildings mentioned. Media can choose how they frame the stories or the country responsible might just care.

I believe Ukraine can make things hard enough for better terms at the negotiating tables. They have to be prepared for the incoming phase of the war, though.
