You realise that for the past 80 or however many years, Taiwan was allowed to act pretty independently, as long as nobody pressed the issue of their actual, formal independence much? China is happy letting Taiwan be what it is, as long as people like you don't get all righteous about their formal legal status.

It's people like you that are the biggest danger to Taiwan right now. You're risking their actual, practical freedom based on your personal principle of formality. What you need to do is back the fuck off. Do what the US did, make a point about international waters and whatnot, and other than that, not poke the bear about actual Taiwanese independence.

Now now, if we're being precise here, I didn't say Ukrainians do all the fragging. I merely suggested the supply of Ruskies to frag are going to run low for Ukrainians. That'll be correct even if some of the Ruskies assist in that.

Im guessing its not as bad as the airplanes they stole are holding on to since Im sure they had the sense to have some ability in house to make parts the tanks, but if the last month has shown anything, despite someone's claims about how bad globalism is, Russia seemed to be happy to go all in on it.

Should be simple enough. Just don't get all high and mighty like Russia tried to do in invading a sovereign nation in a bald-faced land grab, and everything is A-Okay.

Single, rogue states, like Russia, who act on their own wild caprices in either trying to be something they're not and/or trying to recapture something they were, are the "dangers," here.

Note that while individuals countries of NATO likely would love the opportunity to smack Russia back into place, they haven't, because Russia didn't actually invade a member of NATO. Because, as I and others have said, NATO is a defensive alliance.

Having friends in the world pays off, rather than doing what Russia has done, and is doing, in pissing every other country off by monkeying around in their politics or, as of recently... invading their neighbors.

I suppose the south could have just willingly abolished slavery, the reason for the war. But they didn't and they weren't going to.

The war of Northern Aggression was because the South refused to move from Organic Farm Implements to the more costly mechanical versions.
