My point is that people are lying hypocrites, and you admitted you are very much so.

In the end, all it takes is a small amount of discomfort to not support shitty regimes... but you cannot be bothered to care.

I'm very open about my stance towards buying from Russia, so I kind of fail to see how I am a hypocrite or lying. I also consume US media and I use Chinese electronic devices. In case you want to point out my hypocrisy some more. I couldn't care less.

And I really don't consider a question of energy as a small discomfort, but something essential to living. If it was Bananas, sure. If we're talking about the heating bill for millions of German households, I fail to see how that's a small discomfort.

Sure, if you want to trivialize the issue, be a dreamer, and prefer to live in your own small castle in the sky where not dealing with shitty countries is an option, enjoy. As soon as there's real estate available tell me, I might consider a weekend loft. I'm willing to bet that whatever device you're posting from now has components made in China, though. Am I to assume that means that you're okay with their stance towards the Uighurs? Would that make you a hypocrite? Just asking.

Once again, thanks for proving me right about you.

You're not proving anything, and you still haven't pointed out how I am a hypocrite or a liar.

I've proved my point just fine. You don't give a shit if a government does terrible things, just so long as it doesn't cost you any money.

And the same goes for you.

Seriously, are you bored or something? What's the point of your entire argument? Are you trying to get a rise out of me?

Not at all, I simply find it odd that so many people are perfectly content with tyrannical government.

"But, I may have to pay a bit more to heat my house..."

Ahh, the ambivalence of Germans to atrocities... a time-honored tradition.

    Nope, this is your argument.

"But, at least the trains ran on time."

If you knew anything about Germany you'd know the trains don't run on time. If you had followed what I said you'd also know I heat my home with wood, not gas. But instead of trying to debate constructively, you're making it personal. You're shitposting, and there is exactly nothing more to you.

I'm debating against the notion that you shouldn't oppose something, simply because it might be inconvenient. Your country... of all countries, should know better.

Again, energy supply to a decent chunk of your citizens isn't inconvenient, it's critical. If you fail to see the difference, that's on you. There is not a single nation in the world that doesn't put its own interests ahead of that of other nations, by a long margin. If wherever you're from is actually doing so, please tell me where, and I'll move there immediately. And your continuous attacks against 'my country' are immature and embarrassing. If you can't make your point without that, don't bother.

I made my point just fine... countries (and the people within)love to look the other way, because actually paying attention to a problem would mean they would have to address it, and justify their stance.

"I'm fine with their tyranny, because it means the spice... I mean gas, still flows."

Welcome to the real world, it's messy as fuck. The US engages in similar kinds of behavior, as do countless US companies. But attempting to hold you responsible for the sins of your country in the past, or the ongoing sins of your country and companies within now, is fairly silly.

So you have no point, aside from describing the human condition. You just keep going back to something that millions befor you have observed, and millions that come after you will observe as well. Your entire argument is pointless.

And yet, people can take personal responsibility, and personally oppose such bullshit.

I'm certainly not responsible for the shitty behavior of Russia, or even my ow government. But, I'm willing to condemn them when they act like asshats.

I disagree. It's holding people to account for their stances and beliefs. People can, and should be judged for such things. If you don't like it, good for you. Feel free to ignore me in the future.

Nope. I'm taking a page out of your book, and I am opposing tyrannical behavior when I encounter it, no matter if it leads to anything or not (hint, it doesn't). Your stance on this entire matter is silly, immature, and naive.

considering this is how... you know.. capitalism works? makes Machismo's feigned outrage here even more hilarious. this is the world you want to live in, why is it so shitty? I don't know dude, maybe it's people's personal failings that's the real problem here. nothing to do with the system! nope!
