A general mobilization or just wider drafting of reservists would be hard for them to start doing without declaring Russia to be in a general state of war, but make no mistake, they're still going to do everything they can to frame that as a positive for Russia if the situation gets to a point where they have to.

From what I've read, there should really be quotes around "training." Apparently 90% of the conscripts' time in the military (pre-Ukraine, anyway) was spent either cleaning the base or doing parade drills. They're trained how to look good, not how to fight well.

Is this a parody I wonder? I mean, this is so bad that I find Yuppies posts much, much better, and that's not a high bar for you...but you can't, or don't want to..

I find this thread...pointless for me to read, instead of people acting like critical citizens, people are instead...merely consumers, which makes the things they consume pretty ridiculous...I hope someone here finds those things at Bucha odd when the car passes by you can see in the side mirror the 'dead guy' sitting up. Some were even waving their hands to see if it's ok for them to sit up...

If this would be World of Warcraft, Easo the angry baltic guy, would have some of the highest accumulated achievement points in Russophobia, but when he questions, sometimes, some really outlandish statements, people, many whom I have never seen post here before, pounce on him for being a Putin stooge...

The quality here has become far too low, I don't get why Shalcker bothers...lots of dead time at his work? Dunno...Anyways I doubt I'll post in this thread again.

Apparently the Russian army lacks sort of "Squad level"/mid tier leadership like sergeants which means conscripts may as well save their money on a return ticket.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

I'm actually morbidly curious how they'll do that. "The war is going so well we need to double our troops" will be interesting to justify. I just wish it could be done in a situation that didn't involve thousands upon thousands of dead civilians and Russian draftees who didn't have a choice.

So, they're not just orcs, they're janitor orcs. Skaven. Whatever.

I get that there's something to be said about having an army with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people. In most situations that'd be a giant "fuck off" sign. I mean, a million untrained people could realistically beat 100,000 trained ones with the same gear just by sheer zerg power, depending on the situation. But the context here is clear: Russian troops clearly aren't prepared. No food, no winter clothing, and those that didn't desert, flee, or run over their own commander with a motherfucking tank are apparently raping civilians to death. The threat of sheer numbers falters when you demonstrate how ineffective those numbers are. A trained cop or soldier should be worried of ten copies of me with a pistol, but should not be as threatened of ten copies of me with a pistol if they know I've never fired a gun in my life and only have one mag.

And of course, we all know about the parade uniforms.

It's ours now, motherfucker. US seize Viktor Vekselberg's yacht in Spain. Vekselberg is a metal oligarch and at least until recently was a close ally of Putin. Now he's out a $120 million boat. If his name sounds familiar, it should, he came up in the Mueller investigation as he's a large Rusal shareholder.

By the way, that 4-hour-old article says sources were being confidential but now the DoJ is just saying that shit in the open. Garland says this is the first blood drawn by his special "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" task force and that more should follow.

I'm guessing that Putin's allies are no longer enjoying this game, since they didn't read the warning label "May cause seizures".

Is it still considered racism (and more importantly a bad thing) if you express hate or contempt for Russian people as a whole now?

Yes. But I'm sure that isn't going to stop you, so I'm not sure why you're asking.

Nothing of value would be lost if people stopped posting that are acting like things like this (heavy NSFW warning on those pictures, btw) are Ukranian crisis actors.

Yes to both. The vast majority of russians have no say in this matter.

I'm not implying it's a bad thing or condemning them, but with how Ukraine's people have designated Russians as "orcs" and the actions they've taken, hatred for Russia has exploded internationally. They never even had good approval ratings, ever, but this is a whole new low.

So if you're not from Ukraine and waving or encouraging that "orc" card, are you a bad person?

The vast majority of Russians love and encourage Putin. I don't know where people have this enduring misconception the people are trapped or brainwashed. They genuinely like him at large, with an 83% approval rating. That's why pity or sympathy is waning.

So it begins. Greatest handwaving of all time. Bucha is a testament to russian genocidal norms with nazi-like touches poured over like napalm. If you even fucking dare to question the vast amount of proof we have for this genocide, kindly stop posting in this thread.

Quality is always far better when russian-made genocide defenders are on forum vacations. Good riddance.

that's what people think, but if they cared even as the current sanctions ruin their everyday lives, they could erupt into an avalanche of violent protesting across Russia before dragging out Putin and doing a Gadaffi on him, whose oppressed people by comparison did exactly all that.

Their passivity really illustrates to me complacency, lack of will and care, if they don't just like him

You REALLY have to get out of your anime universe. There's not just black and white, reality is a lot more complex and nuanced than you seem to perceive.

You know you have fucked up when hundreds of thousands of people flee your country from a foreign war you started.

I generally hold the opinion that Russians are not behind this but there have been reports...

That you think a lack of violent revolution against an oppressive authoritarian dictator equates to genuine love and acceptance of said dictator speaks volumes about the immensity of your ignorance.

DUDE. THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE. They've tried waving peace signs and doing harmless gestures and they got either arrested or executed. In this instance, they HAVE to rise up with force if they care at large.

The French really got it right with betting on nuclear power.
