May I ask what is shameless, dishonest self-promotion? From your own link.

"the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced it has purchased more than 1,330 terminals from SpaceX to send to Ukraine, while the company donated nearly 3,670 terminals and the Internet service itself."

    Lulz. That last bit:

Customs data only shows through January, but...

That looks like a steep dropoff to begin the year.

    Then, per Reuters:
Record volumes of fuel oil from Latin America landed in the United States in March, customs data showed, as refiners snapped up alternatives to Russian feedstocks ahead of Washington's April 22 deadline to end U.S. imports of Russian oil.

U.S. Gulf Coast refiners that use fuel oil to supplement heavy crude went hunting for new supplies last month after U.S. President Joe Biden placed a ban on Russian crude and refined products with a 45-day wind-down period.

Russia accounted for about a quarter of the 524,400 barrels per day (bpd) of fuel oil the United States imported last year. It also supplied some 200,000 bpd of crude mostly to U.S. East Coast refiners.

Russia's share fell to 20% last month while Latin American countries - driven mainly by Mexico - provided 35% of imports of fuel oil, blendstock for fuel oil and vacuum gasoil (VGO), up from 20% last year, customs data showed.

No, no, no. “Save the Kids” was a crypto pump-and-dump scam. You got to make sure to keep the bullshit straight.

Ukraine has confirmed Russia was fucking around in Chernobyl and increased the radioactive contamination with their stupidity.

The Russians also abducted about 189 Ukrainian national guardsmen who were at the plant when they captured it and who they forced to live in the Soviet era nuclear bunker at the site for 30 days. Russian troops also predictably looted the place for anything of value.

It's a combination of both. India would like to buy more Russian oil. Russia ESPO is now $71.45, compared to Iraq Basrah (#1) at $99.20 and US WTI (#2) at $98.26. There is just no good way to get them to India in a timely manner.

    Per The Guardian:
A senior US defense official said some Russian units in Ukraine are depleted and that Russia’s combat power is somewhere between 80% and 85% of pre-invasion levels.

The Pentagon determined some Russian units that recently retreated from around Kyiv were heavily damaged and depleted, putting into question their combat utility.

“We’ve seen indications of some units that are literally, for all intents and purposes, eradicated,” the official said.

There are indications that Moscow has begun mobilizing some reservists and could be looking to recruit more than 60,000 personnel, the official said.

The Ukrainians wanted to claim borscht as theirs and only theirs and didn’t want to share with others. This, says Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, is “xenophobia, extremism and nazism.”
Uh...is this an accurate translation? Because Ukraine doesn't want to share their borscht recipe's they're Nazi's? And that's the reason Russia invaded, because they wanted their damn borscht recipes?

Also, is she always like this or has she actually had a few too many before speaking?

This is apparently Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

So can Russia end the war if Ukraine just agrees to share their borscht?

No, it's not an asset. And no, Tony Stark wasn't the douchebag who'd do things purely as publicity stunts.

He ACTUALLY believed in what he was doing. Elon Musk is more huckster than innovator.

General opinion was that she was drunk. You'd probably have to have had a few before sprouting such nonsense.

And yes, she was saying that the Ukrainians were Nazis for not sharing the recipe for bortsch.

Man, every time you think that the Russian lines can't get dumber, they impress.

I thought we peaked with, "There's no way our soldiers could have radiation sickness from Chernobyl, our soldiers were there in WWII and none of them died of radiation sickness!"

Damn, that's the kind of silliness you would hear from a parody. What's next, the real reason they attacked Ukraine was because it has more blue on their flag than Russia's and this offended them?

I really don't know why they're even trying to "narrative wrangle" on an international stage anymore. I'm assuming whatever media does go in Russia is already highly censored, spun and controlled.

They could all do us the favor of sparing us their disingenuous bullshit excuses for "justification" for their invasion and just go about continuing to bungle this on every level in silence.

The paragraph is the first reason. Everything is highly censored in Russia that only the state accepted narrative is allowed to be spun. The excuses are not for us in the west, they're for people of Russia and those who are not aligned with the west. It's propaganda and propaganda works.

I mean, couldn't they be content with just lying to themselves and say they're doing bigly huge and spare us all the unnecessary noise outside of Russia?
