The west and the EU will also just crumble and break apart and not retaliate because they have too much to lose so they will lose everything instead.

No-one is disrupting finance and trade for entire world. The West is disrupting trade with Russia, if Russia doesn't like this then it should not invade its neighbours.

Just replacing Russian gas alone will need up to ten trillions in investments - new outgoing and incoming terminals, new ships, new gas extraction capacity. All that takes years of planning and actual build time; tanker shipyards were already full with orders for years ahead.

Russia had Ukraine effectively surrounded and can't subjugate it. Finland is chokepoint after chokepoint surrounded by mountains and sea. And they've already beefed up their defenses with the Russian border.
