This is not exactly true - there's been no decision about it, but rather all signs are pointing to it. It's important to remember that Sweden joining NATO is a major departure from its neutrality policy, and even if there's an overwhelming majority in favor of it (which has happened over the past couple months and is entirely Russia's doing, before the invasion there was no majority support) it still needs to be done properly, through the proper channels and with a strong parliament support.

Basically what you're saying is the most likely scenario and I agree with you, it's just necessary to point out that it's not set in stone yet.
