    Maybe I should.

But then again, I'll just get a faceful of "they aren't technically breaking the forum rules" and that's just too damn depressing.

Russia says it will sell oil to 'friendly nations' at 'any price.' Man, they sound as desperate as onlyfans models.

But they kind of have to sell oil at a loss to keep the wells flowing. If you can't keep pumping because storage fills up then the wells break and it isn't quick or cheap to open them again. Especially given western companies pulled out, taking with them the knowledge and equipment to do so.

Aleksandra Skochilenko - a Russian activist - has been arrested and imprisoned for eight weeks, pending her trial, for “discrediting Russia’s armed forces” by replacing supermarket price tags with anti-war appeals. She faces ten years in prison for her crimes.

It's easy to forget, with all the horrific news coming out of Ukraine and the online Kremlin troll farms, that these incredibly brave and principled men and women are putting their lives and future's on the line by speaking out against the evils acts being carried out.

Too bad the opposition is completely dead in Russia, in the organizational sense.

Individuals getting themselves thrown in jail here and there doesn't accomplish much.

As a swede i havent seen anything confirmed but our prime minister has changed her mind about it and I dont think there is any notable opposition to it, probably only the communists if so since they were also the only ones opposing sending weapons to ukraine.

You might just as well hope that Russian war crimes will be. Still, no Russian "infringement" on POWs rights comes anywhere close.

Yeah, you just rape and torture civilians. Taking the moral high ground there.

    You forgot genocide.

Yes, very important to keep pointing this one out to our resident ruski trolls. Your country is committing genocide, and your legacy will be the new nazi germany. It will take a looooong fucking time to gain any of your good reputation back, not that you had much to begin with.

Why should we ? Ukraine will most probably prosecute those because of western pressure. Will Russia prosecute theirs ? What can give us those guarantees after all those lies and propaganda ?

    Where is that "Western pressure"?

Ukraine itself promised to investigate pow torture and killing in the talks with Russia weeks ago.

    And... *crickets*.

In defence of the Left on their end these days it's far more because of principles around pacifism and anti nuclear weapons things than any pro Russia stances.

Looking around apparently that still can be Russian oil in the end - Russia is also major producer of low-sulphur light sweet crude oil from Vostok oil fields.

Can deal with that once Russia isn't occupying lots of land and doing mass killings and other atrocities towards civilians.

The good people of Russia are slowly one at a time getting jailed for protesting or leaving the country.

Either their investigation is ongoing or it didn't turn anything up. Regardless, war crimes from the Ukrainian side would not cleanse the Russian side from theirs.

And investigations are ongoing when possible. What about Russia side ? What about all those abducted civilians ?

No investigation of Bucha had concluded so far either; doesn't stop anyone.

If you are surprised the Russian army does not receive any benefit of doubt, you have been living under a rock.

It will be investigated by parties that are not named Russia. Suck it.
You are ofc free to hold your own deranged nazi investigations but no one will care.
