Across the board, not just for GazProm facilities. Because other holders were spooked by 2020 where they pumped a lot of gas into storage on 2019 scare with Ukraine and then had to dump it at record-low prices after Covid hit and gas usage dropped due to industry slump; they couldn't hold on to it indefinitely waiting for price to rise again.
That only means that gas from them was sold. Likely because it had better price to offer then other storage facilities storing gas from non-Gazprom sources. They say that the reserves Gazprom are responsible for were only filled by less than 10%... end of January, it was less than 6%.
If Europe wanted more they needed to sign contract for it, not just ask for more gas to arrive on their whim "because we want lower prices". GazProm said multiple times that they want long-term contracts, not spot sales - and stuck to their word. GazProm needed certainty in how much gas will be consumed to plan future expansion, and was getting enough money from contracts as is - and was already planning record breaking dividends this year. You seem to fail to realize that this isn't about contracts, Europe wanted to buy more, which Gazprom has "but couldn't sell because they needed it themselves, lul".
Gazprom could sell, but they didn't, they could've made big bucks, but they didn't. Why?
Omg, company selling gas sells their gas rather then hold it in storage while prices are at record-highs! What treachery!I'm saying they did this on purpose, just as they did empty the reserves they are in control of on purpose
...i hope you do remember that GazProm still supplied gas all those months. Where do you think that gas went? Vented right into atmosphere? Or maybe it got consumed somewhere in EU?
I listed factors that went into price increase and higher-then-usual summer drawdown on gas supplies - most of which had nothing to do with GazProm. This has nothing to do with Covid or some other nonsense you come up with.
Show me companies requesting additional non-spot gas from GazProm and being denied. So don't give me that crap. We have pipelines for transit, but they stopped using them (even though there were enough requests for additional gas)
You know that NS2 is just transport? That gas within always originated from Russia? How would North Stream 2 even help if they don't have gas to provide?!
