Well, Russian military have been successfully competing with e.g., China, Serbia and Iran in the Tank Biathlon World Championship.

    Using gogle translate for this:
Russia on fire: more than 15 villages in Krasnoyarsk Krai Due to strong winds in the Krasnoyarsk Territory ( Central Asian province), fires engulfed more than 15 villages, and one burned completely. A state of emergency has been imposed throughout the region. Rescuers are already putting out the fires, but the blaze has engulfed at least 200 different buildings. The fire engulfed residential buildings, kindergartens, paramedics, sawmills, garden cooperatives.

Ah yes, i am sure those fires were not random.
    Don't sweat the details!!!

They could kill 100 babies in front of russia crowd and they would still cheer up because those childrens would be obviously Nazis too.

The whole nation is so fuked up that I don't see them changing in like next 100 years.

Just gonna put this out there, but... if I were in Russia where it's a crime to criticize the war (or even call it a war) and I knew that phone calls were being intercepted... I'd probably tell the soldier he was doing the right thing even if I didn't think it was true.

I'm not saying that's necessarily what's going on, but I also don't understand Russian so I couldn't really gauge the tone of voice when the statement is made, either, even if I heard the recording.

Heaven knows we have plenty enough disgusting recorded phone calls from conservatives and QTards in the US to make me hope that the sentiment described in the quote in your post is also not entirely pervasive in Russia.

Those fires are most likely random. The Siberian regions have been hit by neigh endless wildfires that have been burning since 2016, I mean burning uninterrupted with various levels of intensity.

Russia doesn't care about war crimes, they're a pro authoritarian autocratic country that had ultra nationalism drilled into their brains since birth. Murder, rape, stealing everything they can, none of it even registers on anything you could call a moral compass. The only thing Russians care about right now are winning, and right now they're obviously not, which makes the war unpopular with the people. Sending mass loads of peasants into the meatgrinder only works to bolster the nation when they have pride in the bloodbath, if not then you start getting peasant revolts...

I'm kind of shocked - an expert on Russian state tv said something sensible. He said mobilisation wouldn't work as outdated weapons can't compete with what NATO is providing and replenishing Russia's military can't be done fast.

No doubt he'll be found dead by suicide soon.

Weirdest part was be didn't get shouted down by the rest of the panel either.

Either that or it signals a shift in what's coming, but I agree, curious.

Russia is reportedly pulling completely out of Syria. They need those troops far more dying in Ukraine than propping up Assad.

I'm surprised it took them this long.

Those are tanks rigged for that competition. Its like modifying a Kia Soul and running it against a modifying ford f-150. Then saying Kia's souls are way better than F-150s. At hauling loads or towing. China was the only country to bring their own tank. Then others were provided by Russia....

“According to many reports, Russian 64th separated motorized brigade, responsible for mass rape, torture and executions in Bucha, promoted by Putin to a Guard brigade, was completely destroyed at Izyum, Kharkiv region. I will not publish my emotions here.”

Guess russia sent them to the hardest frontline to die so they can't be interrogated etc.

There is a video further down in the thread on reddit that shows the bodies, according to that account there were around 300 soldiers killed.

Without going too politically incorrect: I guess wishing for the justice talked about earlier in the thread, just paid off big time.

If it happened...nothing of value was lost.

Nah these ones are pretty much normal. But it was generally the job of the conscripts to fight these types of fires before they got so big. But we all know where they are right now.
