Not 3. 1 country in Africa sided with Russia, about half abstained, and the other half voted to condemn Russia. Almost all of South America and central America voted to condemn. Most of the middle-east, southeast Asia, most of the Oceanic nations. But sure, half the world sided with Russia, if you count the peasant farmers in India and China who don't even know what year it is.

Executing prisoners under some absurd pretense of war crimes won't save them from the angry Ukrainians who have no reason not to fully crush the shitball "republics" in Donbas and re-take Crimea like they could've at any point between 2014 and the start of the invasion.

Ukranians are doing well around Kharkiv but badly in the donbas.

Lyman and Severodonetsk dont look good but there might be a counter offensive at Izyum to worry the russians

The first Russian soldier being charged for warcrimes in Ukraine has pled guilty to the charges brought against him.

Russians are still taking heavy losses for their advances.

Reportedly up north, the Ukrainians have (successfully) crossed the Donets river in two places and are moving to cut the critical Belgorod-Izyum supply line.

Ooh, that's gotta sting. It'll also well and truly mess up the offensive in the Donbass as now units need to be redirected.

Aaand Turkey already started to slow down Finland's/Sweden's NATO process with outrageous demands to extradite "terrorists" (read: anyone disagreeing with the dictatorship).

Would post a link but only source I have is the Financial Times paywalled article...

Meh, there goes. Seems like Turkey may encounter some problems in joining the European Union surprisingly, at this rate!

It is obvious Turkey just sees this as an opportunity to try to gain an upper hand in negotiations with the US when demands they've put forth includes things like being allowed to buy F-35s without giving up their Russian S-400s.

Turkey hasn't been in a position to join the EU for years (decades?)
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

If Turkey comes to the table asking for F-35s, then that is extortion. F-35's having nothing to do with Finland or Sweden. There should be an update to NATO to remove bad actors that are abusing the alliance.

Nothing new really. Turkey has been threatening EU few times in the past that they will open the immigrant flood gates from Syria for reasons. Using circumstances to strong-arm their way seems to be how Erdoan does international politics.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

I agree that the reasons for veto'ing a membership, should not include "Throws a tantrum and demands shit"

Genuine worries in regards to the integrity of NATO would make sense, not "We don't like them because blabla". Sweden and Finland joining, doesnt suddenly mean that there's free travel to Turkey from those 2 countries.

lets face it if anyone attacked turkey and they started talking about article 5 no body is coming lmao.

I'm not terribly sure why people are so upset over a notion of some country having demands of alliance that are in line of its interests. If you'd want automatically unanimous agreement over stuff you personally want, then you'd probably rather have Warsaw Pact.

Turkey will get a candy and lift its opposition, it is within in its right to negotiate various demands as every member of said alliance is. Ultimately Finland and Sweden will be in NATO and relatively fast too.

    Read between the lines:
    1. They live stream a 2h long press conference a week before, but there are no updates on polk_azov for three days.
    2. Last entry (May 16th) is a deliciously cryptic hint from Прокопенко.
    3. Backed one day later by Білецький himself.
    4. Yesterday (May 18th), another breadcrumb from Кротевич.

There are some plays getting made. And they're not made by the fucking orcs.

Yeah, sure. The problem with Turkey though, is that their "demands" and "concerns" are just laughable. Apparently, the Nordic countries are "guest houses for terror organizations". Fucking bullshit.

Besides, why is Turkey apparently the only one allowed to make demands? How the hell is NATO ever going to get anyone on board, if everyone is looking for some candy for the approvals? Thank God the others aren't, but this is just rewarding for bad behavior. I doubt Turkey is going to be a problem, but fuck them for trying.
