Because long-dead Lordaeronians would accept long-dead fanart long-dead Arthas suddenly alive as their reigning king. Those Lordaeronians would also probably need to be alive.

2013 MMO-Champion User of the Year (2nd runner up) has had this "leak" hidden since 2010 I guess, for 11 (almost 12) years.
How did you not give away the last 6 expansions knowing eventually we come back to arthas in 10.0?

you know what, I would actually love another time paradox expansion where Scourge never happened, Lordaeron is blossoming and Arthas is an old king but plot twist, we're bad guys now and we need to purge it.

Actually my Paladin is going to be king of Lordaeron. He's already at super "hero", nearly omnipotent status according to the game so being king just seems like a natural next step.
