Blizzard's products fall clearly with the no-right-for-refund-if-they-work-as-advertised within the EU, no matter if you bought them physically (very old school in the EU) or online.
Actually, it does extend to digital goods but that comes with the added stipulation that the buyer does not get the goods before the 14 day period is up, so there's usually a mutual agreement to waive this.

It should also be noted that during these 14 days, you're not technically refunding so much as undoing the contract, and the buyer does not have to provide any reason for this.

The 2 year period isn't legally a warranty, either.

Well, since it turned out there wasn't actually any noteworthy change, obviously it isn't.

    It is a warranty:
"EU law also stipulates that you must give the consumer a minimum 2-year guarantee (legal guarantee) as a protection against faulty goods, or goods that don't look or work as advertised. In some countries national law may require you to provide longer guarantees."

    https://europa.eu/youreurope/busines...s/index_en.htm

And the cooling of period does not apply to digital goods:

    "14 day cooling off period

In the EU you have the right to return purchases made online or through other types of distance selling, such as by phone, mail order or from a door-to-door salesperson, within 14 days for a full refund. You can do so for any reason – even if you simply changed your mind.

The 14-day cooling off period does not apply to all purchases. Some of the exemptions are:
    ...
sealed audio, video or computer software, such as DVDs, which you have unsealed upon receipt
online digital content, if you have already started downloading or streaming it and you agreed that you would lose your right of withdrawal by starting the performance..."

    https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizen...YEC_factsheets

So if you buy a sparkly horse or an expansion online and "download" them then you have no right for a refund', unless of course that they're "faulty" or don't work as advertised.
There are more categories that aren't covered by the online-refund-right, but I cut them out, but people who are interested can follow the link and check it out.
