    Is DC trying to copy Marvel?

    There were 3 different Spidermen: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. They all came together in No Way Home.

    There are 3 different Batmen (recently): Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson.

    Do you think they are trying to bring them all together in a film against previously fought villains? Scarecrow, Joker, Two-face, Bane, Ra's Al-Ghul, Harley Quinn, and the Riddler?

    Has there ever been such a story in the comics?
    Where batmans from several universes appear at once?

    The spider-man comics has story lines with the thing called ”Spiderverse” where spider men from many universes come together.

    Also all the villains in the movie could be s reference to sinister six

    The only commonality here is that there are 3 incarnations. But that only so much is a thing because...3 happens to be a number in a sequence. And a low one at that. There's little connection.

    Batman generally isn't thrown into multiversal weirdness as often as a character like Spiderman anyway. There's exceptions but he's generally a grounded character.

    they could do a "Flashpoint" movie that brings them together and I think there are some rumors that the next flash movie will do that, and bring in some old-school batmans back.

    They continue to copy and fail at it. The DCEU just needs to die out.

    Alternates meeting each other isn't unique to Marvel...

    DC Arrow did multiverse crossover long before No way home, and then there were those Injustice games/storylines and then of course "Into the spiderverse did multiverse spidies years ago so....

    honestly, DC and Marvel have been copying each other for as long as they existed, and multiverse and crossovers between those multiverses has been a staple for both for a while as well.

    I am here waiting for Avengers vs Justice League movie.....

    That will never happen, but it would be the best crossover and box office hit ever.

    If DC's stories wanted to copy Marvel's success, I would have dropped the 'grimdark' bullshit years ago and leaned into the absurd---like the first Avengers movie did---and done reboot character plots from step zero rather than tacking on weird deep cut things like Parallax in the Green Lantern movie. They could have also made OA look like fucking OA, but whatever.

    It also doesn't help that there aren't an iconic set of actors who play the same role for multiple movies. Batman is like Iron Man, you need one guy to hold the whole Justice League thing together. You can't just keep trading out the actor every other movie and then doing a story reboot.

    They both copy each other all the time. Been going on for decades. They sell the same product, so when one sees the other is doing something that is successful, they try to incorporate that into their product.

    "Take the time to sit down and talk with your adversaries. You will learn something, and they will learn something from you. When two enemies are talking, they are not fighting. It's when the talking ceases that the ground becomes fertile for violence. So keep the conversation going."

    Grimdark are the only DC movies that have had success. Justice League was them trying to copy Marvel and we saw how that turned out.

    ...was hoping someone would say this but for examples

    Darkseid-->Thanos
    Deathstroke-->Deadpool
    Batman Origin Story-->Spiderman Origin Story

    hell there's a DC villain called black spider who acts and LOOKS like spiderman for gods sake AND they just threw him on Young Justice

    We all know how Marvel and DC copy each other characters, but sometime its just woah, isn't its strange that BOTH teams of super heroes that fight any galactic threat to planet have normal human with bow in their ranks?

    Like hell, difference between Hawkeye and Green Arrow only that one of them rich as Batman.

    Aliens: "Oh shit, isn't that one earthling guy infamous Green something? he has some strange stick, our only weakness, damn"

    With same tragic backstory like "Oh shit i killed a man,before it was mainstream" and both archers somewhat bound to have connections to Russian mafia.

    Yes multiple times

    And in fact, the comic series Flashpoint where a divergent timeline was created by Flash and he ran into altered versions of the existing characters came out three years before the Spider verse series. DC has been doing multiverse since the 70s.

    umm. UMMM

    Shazam, Aquaman, most recent Suicide Squad and even first Wonderwoman say hi?

    and they didn't even need to copy Marvel formula, just... not be so up their ass as to forget that they are based on comic books.

    Black Spider has been on Young Justice for years and tbh, he acts more like Deadpool than Spiderman.

    Justice League of America #21 (1964) is the first cross-over of the JSA/JLA and the original multiverse crossover. DC originated the idea. Marvel has just beat them putting it up on the big screen.
