i already postet a suggestion on wow forums for a new SoM Realm. Its like Blizzard uses the idea from the henhouse pvp server:
SoM Classic Battle Realm
all available with a standard world of warcraft subscription
battleground classic only realm: alterac valley (40vs40), arathi basin (15vs15) and warsong gulch (10vs10)
new wargames UI for easier organisation to play against an Alliance or Horde Team; no rewards or gold here
two separated isles for Alliance and Horde, far away from each other
you are able to create 5 characters with your account, but only on one side, either Alliance or Horde
created characters are without any equipped items and you are able to choose from these levels: 19, 29, 39, 49, 60
you can learn the professions you need from a trainer with instant maximum skill, same level restrictions as known in Classic
a vendor is enchanting your items and weapons
no experience gain at all
you charakter has 2000 gold at start to buy needed items
you earn gold for each battleground you win (10 gold) or loose (5 gold)
you earn marks for each battleground and able to turn it in for reputation gain, to buy the specific PvP items
if your reputation is exalted, you are able to turn in marks for gold
vendors for all necessary items and usables, PvP items needs to be earned
armor, weapons and trinkets cost 100g per item, independently from the diffrent level
consumables etc. are cheap
trading interaction is disabled
no auction house
same restrictions for low level charakters and battlegrounde, like no level 19 char in arathi basin and so on
queing alterac valley with a maximum of 5 players, no raids allowed
queing up with a maximum of 3 players, you are primary matched with the standard single que for everyone
queing up with 4 players and more, you are primary matched against groups also qued up with 4 or more players
honor ranking is enabled: honor ranking is increased, same as on the actually running SoM Realms, same rewards as known in Classic
you are able to create a battle team up to 20 members; its equivalent to guilds on normal realms; for the new daily updated ladder website
that shows the characters in the team for statistics (team wins and losses; charakter rank, kills, deaths, damge done, healing done, captured flags, returned flags, captured bases, defended bases)
temporarily blocked creation for specific side Alliance or Horde, if there is an uneven amount of players - live checked every week with maintainance (to keep the que even for each side)
Phases:
phase 0: available on realm start
phase 1: starts as soon as a certain amount of people on each side has reached Rank 6.
phase 2: starts as soon as a certain amount of people on each side has reached Rank 8.
phase 3: starts as soon as a certain amount of people on each side has reached Rank 10. additionally live checked weekly at maintainance for earlier start, if needed
phase 4: starts as soon as a certain amount of people on each side has reached Rank 12. additionally live checked weekly at maintainance for earlier start, if needed
phase 0: Items, armors, trinkets and enchants up to Stratholme and Scholomance available
phase 1: Items, armors, trinkets and enchants up to Upper Black Rock Spire and Dire Maul available
phase 2: Items, armors, trinkets and enchants up to Molten Core available
phase 3: Items, armors, trinkets and enchants up to Blackwing Lair and Zulgurub available
phase 4: Items, armors, trinkets and enchants up to AQ40 and Naxramas available
ofc there is room for optimizing this but i think its a good baseline! what do you think? i really just wanted to play battlegrounds with proper equipment and players.
