Gonna take a stab and guess that they don't want a flood of "totally legit leak" and "why game not up?" threads during patch day.
confirmed by my uncle nitnendo and masahiro samurai
Someone will approve it as soon as able.
It's a temporary measure to try to combat a flood of spam and burners making garbage threads.
Will you be notified in both cases? Approved or rejected?
We do not "reject" any new threads per se.
Generally speaking, we typically take one of these three actions:
1. Approve - The thread becomes visible to all users and available for discussion.
2. Delete - This is usually done with spam and garbage threads by burner accounts, as Tziva mentioned.
3. Approve and close - The thread becomes visible to all users but is closed for discussion. You would usually see this if a thread violates our forum guidelines. Rather than delete, we will give a reason and close the thread instead. This helps to educate other users to avoid making similar threads. Click for example.
Genuine users should rarely, if ever, see their threads deleted.

I’m guessing you’ve stopped doing this now, given that the new user SophiaErcel95 has started 5 spam threads in the last few hours. Chicken Drummer 2.0
Thanks god.
All my ignores are permanently filtered out and invisible to me. Responding to my posts with nonsense or insults is pointless, you're likely already invisible and if not - 3 clicks away. One ignore is much better than 3 pages of trolling.
It's still in effect but it only applies to the "General Discussion" forum in the WoW section.
SophiaErcel95 did not post in that section, therefore their threads were not subject to approval.
The "user" was just a spam bot and has since been banned and threads removed.

Isms bore me. I think they are only brought by people who seek to marginalize the potential of each ism to provide something meaningful. Name it, Capitalism, Socialism, even Communism-- all contain something of merit towards structuring a society. The biggest flaw in human history has been the need to take the worst of a system along with the best. It doesn't have to be all of one and none of another.
Sometimes they’ll ask 50 questions but only be really interested in a single answer; like ones you would normally have as a security question when changing your password. Facebook have a lot of them going around, those ones ask often innocuous questions but with the purpose of generating more specific Facebook ads for each individual.
