It took us what? 10 years since Dark Rangers were teased as April Fools? Took Pandarens roughly 15 years since they were teased as a joke in WC3? So Tinkers confirmed around 2032-2040.

And no, Argus is not "filled with mechanical beings". The overwhelming majority of mobs are beasts, demons and humanoids. There's only a small handful of constructs.

No, they're right. The mechanical theme is pervasive throughout WoW. You just keep holding on tightly to your blinders. WoW is a mix of a very large number of themes, this particular one isn't more sidelined than the average, and is actually more prominent in many cases. Even the Blood Elves consider their golem builders to be engineers and technicians, not wizards.

Your arguments all ring hollow because they could be leveled against just about anything in the game.

True. I’m pretty sure that most expansion “leaks” mention Tinker, even in expansions where it wouldn’t make sense. (Like those Shadowlands “leaks” that had tinker.)
Plus outside the name the April fools joke doesn’t even really talk about actual tinkers kekw

Not all classes appeal to everyone. The point is to appeal to different fantasies and thus attracting more players.

Honestly, if I was in charge of WoW development and Tinkers were planned as a new class next expansion then I would’ve ensured the anti Tinker bit in the AFD patch notes would’ve made it in. Classic misdirection

Plenty! And in none of those times have professions been brought up as the reason that those concepts didn't make the cut.

3 of the 3 classes added have been WC3 units. 3 for 3. There is no class that has been added that wasn't in the RTS. There is no 4th post-launch class yet. All 3 post-launch classes are MMO iterations on their respective RTS hero unit. All 3 of the 3 that have been added post launch. 3 for 3.

Again: "3 for 3" we should've had a class in Shadowlands. How did that go?

And in case you try to duck out of way of my point again: patterns are bullshit if your intention is to state facts about future classes.

It wasn't a Tinker joke, it was a leaker joke, Tinker was just a fluff addition. Now if they'd actually described Tinkers in a joking way I'd agree it's not happening, but really, it had nothing to do with Tinkers, and entirely to do with leak culture.

Adding a new class is probably one of the most effective ways to get the casual playerbase to come back. People like to get shiny new toys they can play with, and a new class is exactly that. After the back-to-back failure of BfA and SL, I think a new class is almost a guarantee for 10.0

Like, it honestly is entirely a meta joke; casual fans who don't follow speculation and don't know what Tinkers are, they wouldn't even know the joke even mentions a class people actually talk about.

Nah, WoD broke the cycle of “Race > Class > Race > Class”
Technically MoP broke the cycle too because it got both a new race and a new class.

Besides there’s no class that could’ve viably been put in SL.
