I'm not sure how you are so in the dark about this idea of a husband defending his wife. or loving your wife enough to act out when they are upset. do I need to explain how love works?
Cause it was an attack and billions of people are able to not attack someone when their spouse is upset? Do those billions not love their spouses?

You need to know someone personally to make a comment on something they did? Oh I guess I shouldn't call Putin a dickbag then since I don't personally know him even though everything that has been observed so far seems to indicate he is one.

I think the better question is do those husbands think so little of their wives they need physical protection from a joke, I think Will could have Confronted Chris Rock Effectively without the violence since he did so after he physically attacked him and sat down which was entirely appropriate, minus the violence.

The fact is Chris Rock doesn't want to press charges. And if he doesn't feel the need to press charges...I don't see any reason for charges to be pressed.

    Ruin it?

Chris Rock, The Victim himself, said it was the greatest night in Television History.

Will Smith just put the Oscars back on the map.
So you’re saying the slap was a good thing?

I thought it was a sarcastic take on Whoopi, so I just riffed on that.

There were some bangers on the first night but the internet managed to wear it out over the course of a day.

Best ones I've seen are either Jojo related or Eren using paths to tell Smith to smack Rock

I think it gave people something to talk about. I think next year people will watch in hopes for more crazy shit.

I don't see how someone can support assault because a man is 'protecting his marriage'?!?!?!

I'm not really familiar with what she says unless it involves downplaying the Holocaust. I complain about people being ignorant about the incident but I guess I'm ignorant regarding what people have said about it before.

I just think people are ignorant about what happened. Not just using "alleged" for what is definitely not "alleged" but also the ridiculousness of the legal proceedings where judges and lawyers put their own chance of fame ahead of justice. Maybe seeing it invoked for internet argument reasons just rankles me.

Thats the real take away from this. Will Smith assaulted a man in full view of millions and walked off scott free.

And the tiny fraction for whom heroic raids are currently well tuned? Too bad,so sad! With the arterial bleed of subs the fastest it's ever been, the vanity development that gives you guys your own content is no longer supportable.

I think some of it is people with self esteem issues/fantasies about being a tough guy living vicariously through Smith's actions.

Maybe that's why Chris Rock refused to press charges.

He became an unwilling conservative superstar overnight for standing up for his wife and being a alpha male.

I sure never had, "Will Smith, conservative superstar" on my bingo card for 2022.

Weird that it's coming from the crowd who says that "you can't tell a joke these days without offending someone".

Sorry, I'll go make a scarecrow somewhere else with my strawman.

Has anyone checked in with Ja Rule yet? We haven't had a "complete take" until someone has run up Ja Rule.

Ideological or logical consistency has never been this crowds strong suit.

That teary speech deserves its own oscar. He was so remorseful and ashamed that he apologized to everyone except Rock. Photos of the after party showed Smith was pretty over it. Apologizing the next day only because he knew he's in shit.

I just wanna know the conversation his publicist had with him. That must have been pretty spicy.

"Will, what the fuck have you done. Do you realize how much harder you've made my job and how much more you're going to need to pay me for this shit?"
