Multiple DH, Not World First or even M+ level

I was just interested to see how others played multiple toons. I used to have two hunters one BM and one MM and two warriors one Prot and one Fury. So I kept along that same line with DH.

However I have not been able to get into tanking with the DH as honestly I do not understand how to mitigate damages best yet.

I do have access to the recommended Lego's for both my DH on both Veng and Havoc.

Does anyone else have this issue, if there a best way to use the mitigations, I am just looking to do low keys and maybe LFR, Normal.

Thanks in advance for any help with this noob.

    Hello,

First of all, DHs can feel pretty squishy sometimes, but actually we are pretty good at mitigating damage when the given abilities are up.

General rule of thumb: never overlap defensives. As example, dont pop demon spikes when fiery brand is up. This counts for every defensive ofc, like fel devastation etc. There are a few exceptions where it's sometimes need to overlap them, but to find out you just need to play. An example here is the overhead slash on the first boss of SoA on a high tyra key. Generally, if you dont overlap defensives you are pretty tanky and can survive for pretty long. You also can just face tank without kiting most of the time. If all your defensives are on CD, its time to kite. Infernal strike helps greatly with this and also your fear sigil.

If I look at your DH Nitemarez, it should be pretty easy to tank keys. I dont know your experience, but she is eligible to tank 15s and higher with that gear. Then again, I would advice you to take a different legendary if you dont have the 2 or 4 set. You say you are experiencing issues with mitigation while you are running an offensive legendary. The general advice is to run Fiery Soul legendary if you experience issues with surviving and when you dont have any set gear. Besides that its also better to run Kyrian if you go Vengeance. With Mikanos, the vials (health pots) and covenant ability your survivability goes up by a large margin.

Having said all that, great that you are trying out VDH. It is really fun and very strong! If you have any more questions, dont hesitate to join the DH Discord!
