How I Would Fix Drakthyr

I may never play a Dracthyr but I firmly oppose the visage being used as anything but idle animation. If they intended the visage to be able to be used in combat it would negate any reason for Evoker to be Dracthyr only. They won’t do it.

I'm a big fan of the more predatory aesthetic from ThunderBrush's version.
I really like the sharper and more defined edges. This looks absolutely predatory and I love it.
That's what I really want most of all, something that looks predatory and mean.

I think the "visage" or whatever should just be a normal human or what have you, like worgen. It makes ZERO sense. It's supposed to be so they could hide amongst the mortal races, yet they all look like walking mardi gras floats.
"Clearly that guy over there, with the 2ft long horns and neon green scales covering 40% of his body, couldn't possibly be something other than completely mundane".

Some dragons in WoW don’t fully disguise themselves. Wrathion for example has burning red eyes, and Alexstraza and Ysera fully display their horns.

What makes you think these guys want to hide?

I do think there should be more options since the class/race are restricted to each other, there should certainly be a true “slightly bulkier” option like this.





But suggestions like the following that I’ve seen people suggest makes no sense since they are all only spellcasters.

It isn't confirmed, but if you look at the Dracthyr model in its ability demos, its quite a bit larger than orcs and other characters.

The beefy warrior and skinny caster stereotypes are contradicted by the entire game, so wherever you get that inspiration from it's not Warcraft.

If all these suggestions in the first post with a lot of customization options would be implemented, i might consider creating one of these dracthyr.

In their current iteration, they're bad, if not repulsing in my eyes.

In general, i would have prefered a Dragonsworn concept, where mortals ally with the flights, learning their powers, with humanoid bodies like Deathwing, the other aspects and normal disguises like Onyxia, Nefarian, Krasus and such used. What a wasted opportunity.
