That's because googling a picture that's at an angle instead of straight on is really difficult (no seriously, if the picture isn't head-on, it's a male at an angle). Bit difficult to tell but you should be able to see the 'bulge' on the chest. Not modern no, but you did technically ask for it.

Check in the model viewer. Those female dragonspawn have two tits and there's hearthstone art of female drakonid, also with tits. Male dragonspawn and drakonids don't have them.

I showed the new stuff to my partner and the response I got was that it looked awfully childish. I think us older gamers are not the audience anymore.

Regarding the OP, I think the bulky version you didn’t like is the best. I prefer the bulky version, reminds of the Dragonborn for D&D

What was the question you asked sweetheart. Don’t go moving goal posts here.

Each to their own but I highly believe the Drakanoid models would have been seriously unpopular.

I seriously doubt it would get even close to Dracthyr hate.

Can I like the design and still want more variety?

These old low poly models are just hideous.
Though I'm opposed to the concept of mammal breasts on Dragons and that old low poly model doesn't really look like anything either way other Wyrmkin art from Blizzard seems to disgaree with me.

The audio here definitely sounds fem. It's HS though so no idea if that counts.

I could maybe forgive the shortcomings of the race aesthetic if they could actually cover all that goofiness up with proper transmog/armor, and crucially, play more than one class. As it stands now the whole concept seems half baked.
Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

I'm a big fan of the "swole" look. It would add another model to the game that's bulky like the Minotaur.

But I will blame art director for this. It is a failure of art direction.

I’d wait until I see everything in its final form before I’d call it a failure. We haven’t even seen an iota of the available customizations.

It is not matter of customization. It is a matter of overall art direction. Different faces and skin colors will not change how out of place they look.

There's always someone that says stuff like this every expansion. The answer doesn't change though. Don't wait. By the time you see everything, it's set in stone, and it won't change even if it turns out the majority really don't like it. We've seen this on loop for multiple expansions and years now. No one should be giving the benefit of the doubt anymore. If something in the previews looks off, before release, people absolutely should be saying something long before things are set in final form.

I think the "ThunderBrush" edits are the way to go, make even make them a bit MORE muscular looking.

Beyond that, though... Blizzard 100%, absolutely needs to allow players to Transmog gear on them properly.

Also? I really don't know why they're bothering with all these "dragon scales/crazy haircolors for humans and elves". Dragons have never taken on particularly crazy-looking humanoid forms, and to be frank, I'd honestly prefer having my choice of visuals, instead of being locked into a few selection of strangely flamboyant designs. Being ABLE to display horns or have your eyes glow different colors are cool options, but certainly not necessary.

I'd love to be able to have mine appear as a Nightborne, or perhaps even a Dark Iron (assuming they ever add a "Black Dragonflight" spec).

Overall art direction that you haven’t seen the final version of, seen the total animations for, nor seen the complete ability set. You’re operating with an incomplete deck.

They did that because its what demon hunter had, crazy demonic customizations, and they though it would work again, ignoring that dragons at best, get different eyes and horns, and thats it.

IT also helps to make a image that they are "working rly hard", to give "so much customizations" when this is easy with their new tech, they did a bunch for a lot of races in shadowlands, is a no problem add 30 hair colors for someone.

you, me, and a lot of people would want their visage form to be something different, forcing you to pick either male blood elf or female human is an awful way to go against their own idea that you are supposed to chose your "own identity"
