Amber's sister's testimony looks really good for Amber. She's the only person to say she actually saw Depp abuse Amber. Depp is going to need one hell of a cross examination to recover.
Rocky's was a bit laughable when she started crying claiming Amber had two black eyes in a picture she clearly didn't have any black eyes. It was a bit surreal and kind of killed any credibility she had. Like has she ever seen someone wake up without makeup before in her life?
Let's look at the test results. You are a horrible person. It says right here, you're a horrible person. We weren't even testing that. Don't let the horrible person thing get you down though. Science justified your parents choice to abandon you.
He's only back because Amber is having a good day in court. Honestly, if I heard the testimony today and none of Amber's her claims would be way more believable. Amber taking the stand was the best thing for Depp.
Yup, her taking the stand was a like watching a plane crash she lied so obviously so many times I don't think anything can save her case. The whole thing is based on the her being believable but lying and fighting so many times over the tiniest thing even when it's obvious she was lying made things so bad.
The trial isn't about deciding who's the better person and handing them a prize. It's about knowing if Heard defamed Depp by calling him an abuser. Considering his behavior could very easily be interpreted as abusive (regardless of her own shitty behavior) and how defamation is very hard to prove in the US, Depp likely won't win the case. But that's not what he's seeking, he's targeting the court of public opinion where people do treat this as a game show where the "better" person wins.

The internet: where to every action is opposed an unequal overreaction.
Exactly. And the bar is set pretty low in her favor. Hypothetically even he pushed her away after she antagonized him for hours then the law would protect her - and similar scenario was described by him.
The recordings absolutely destroyed her public image. Her testimony destroyed her image. The facts that came up next to her actions prior to the trial have destroyed her reputation.
Depp's reputation will more or likely stay the same in terms of 'fans and liability'. I don't think they original accusations actually really did anything but make people double down on whether they liked him or not, or just remain neutral as a lot of people are with celebrities. Of course he lost jobs but that's more due to optics than actually liking him. Post trial, opinions will be reinforced once again. Either you already liked him and glad he got his story out, don't and will celebrate him losing the trial, or just move on with your opinion of him.
The biggest picture is for those who have been in relationships with someone like Heard or in a codependent toxic relationship where one side took things way out of their mutual boundaries (even if toxic for most). Man or woman. Heard has all the markers of an abuser, seen in both men and women and to see that bullshit put in the open in public is vindication for people who have had to deal with people like her. Depp ain't no saint but Heard is on a completely different level. Her kind of manipulative behavior in conjunction with the physical is horrible. Then she tried to exploit the sympathy people have for those who actually gone through DV for favor and attention? She is a terrible person. Thankfully put her acting skills on full display for future casting directors to review. Depp lost his jobs over rumors. She is going to lose hers because she clearly sucks at playing a victim in front of an audience. Villain? Sociopath? She can do that very well though

Her testimony isn't consistent with Amber's testimony though. Amber's recounting of the event was that she thought Johnny was going to push Whitney down the stairs and punched him before he was able to, Whitney's testimony was that he hit her from behind, then Amber punched Johnny, then Johnny grabs Amber by the hair and repeatedly punches her in the face, in the presence of Debbie Lloyd and Travis McGivern.
Today is what Amber's team should have lead with. Credible, likeable, and believable witnesses, not Amber or whatever the fuck that doctor was they had first.
Whenever she herself is credible doesn't matter much, Depp is the one making the accusations and has to prove his claim. Whenever she's a bad person herself or not is completely irrelevant, as is the fact most people seem to believe Depp over her. When talking about the trial, all that matters is that Depp is able to prove not only that there was no grounds whatsoever for him being called an abuser by Heard/the Sun back then, but that it was done with malicious intent. That's a very, very tall order. Defamation is hard to prove in America by design.
All the media circus surrounding the trial, the salacious stories and such, that's for public consumption. PR. There's not that much there that'll actually influence the course of the trial.

Her sister's testimony certainly hurt his chances of actually winning the trial, but from all of the photo evidence so far, it's very clear that if (or probably when) Johnny hit her, it wasn't very hard, or even hard. All of these pictures of her "black eyes" and "Broken noses" and "split lips" show none of those things. So as far as the jury is likely thinking, she's nuts, and lying. Her credibility is in the shitter. Even if Johnny doesn't win this, Heard's reputation is shit, and Johnny has in part redeemed himself.

Even if she was, I doubt much will come of it. Perjury is the willful telling of untruths, i.e. they'd have to demonstrate that she knew what she was saying was BS. From how insane she's been acting, it's pretty clear she believes everything she says is true. She's one of those special people who seems capable of constructing a fake reality to hide from the shit she's done.

She said she donated $3.5 million to charity, then said under oath that she hadn't.

I know it is the daily fail, but she said in UK court that she had donated the $3.5 million, and then in court in this defamation case, she says she hasn't. So now she is possibly looking at a perjury probe.
Depp was abusive can't see this case going well for him. Always funny to watch wierdo rich people opening their freak lives up to court.
