This is why I role my eyes whenever someone says "There's no point in making laws on <insert topic>, since criminals don't obey laws anyway". Yeah, the laws didn't prevent Tate from being a sex trafficker. But you look at all his supporters and you realize just how many people DESPERATELY want to be sex traffickers as well, but don't simply because they're afraid of being caught.

The biggest problem is people who use that line of reasoning also don't use it consistently. If they like a particular law, the law is good. If they don't want to be inconvenienced by a law, the law doesn't matter and is bad.

Most of the support I see for Tate on Twitter is stuff along the lines of "Tate is like a father figure to me, my life was a mess but now I'm going to the gym, working out, and no longer blame myself for everything." The implication usually being they blame women, but oh well.

You don't need Andrew Tate to tell you to go work out. There's tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of guys on the internet who will tell you to work out and hustle your job. You don't need a misogynistic sex trafficker to tell you to hit the gym.

What people need to ultimately realize about crypto: It needs to be desirable above and beyond its potential to make money to actually make money. Bitcoin people wanted to buy drugs online, thus why so many people wanted to buy it.

When it comes to MMO currencies, if that MMO currency becomes desirable enough that it's actually worth IRL money because people are willing to pay IRL money for it, the bots are going to destroy its value. Doesn't matter how bot unfriendly you try to make your game. Bots will win.
