How it started vs how it's going.
Another slogan that's gonna be eaten up by his fandom.
Indeed, score one more for science. It was fascinating to see that unfold in real time.
On topic: Twitter owes ex-employees $500 mln in severance, lawsuit claims
Whoops. Yeah, when it comes to cost-cutting measures, "just break the law" doesn't seem like a good place to start.Courtney McMillian, who oversaw Twitter's employee benefits programs as its "head of total rewards" before she was laid off in January, filed the proposed class action in San Francisco federal court.
McMillian claims that under a severance plan created by Twitter in 2019, most workers were promised two months of their base pay plus one week of pay for each full year of service if they were laid off. Senior employees such as McMillian were owed six months of base pay, according to the lawsuit.
But Twitter only gave laid-off workers at most one month of severance pay, and many of them did not receive anything, McMillian claims.
Maybe Musk will try to settle out of court with some pizza ovens.
EDIT: Oh, and just to be clear:
That wasn't me. That was Reuters. Reuters. The poop emoji response is free reign for any media company to make fun of Twitter. The company responded to a request for comment with a poop emoji.
Considering how Musk's Hyperloop and Boring Company were all just scams to sabotage public transportation and rail development, his "6th month halt" was probably just a scam so his AI company could catch up.
In other news, Musk jumps on far right conspiracy theories that ruin the life of some random 22 year old Jewish kid.

Because Musk is a Nazi piece of shit.Almost immediately after Brody’s name and information were shared and it didn't take long for the usual suspects to amplify the conspiracy to their millions of followers. Twitter owner Elon Musk replied to multiple instances of false information about Brody being shared on his platform, boosting it to his over 147 million followers. In one case he responded directly to an article from Zero Hedge, a site well known for its far-right leanings and conspiratorial content.
“Looks like one is a college student (who wants to join the government) and another is maybe an Antifa member, but nonetheless a probably false flag situation,” Musk wrote under the article that shared Brody's name and photo. While Zero Hedge has deleted their tweet and walked back their accusations in the article, Musk has not deleted his Tweet which currently has over a million views.
All of the Nazi pieces of shit see people being Nazi pieces of shit in public and go "No, that's a bad look, thus it can't be one of ours, it has to be a false flag or psyop." Of course full well knowing that they secretly want to openly express their Nazi views. They just know the public perception would turn on them quickly.
Also of note, they claim a lot of people openly being Nazis (i.e. waving swastika flags, shouting nazi propaganda) are just feds, as if it's the government trying to make "Them" look bad. So wait, if people being openly nazi is the government trying to make conservatives look bad, then why don't they just disavow and disparage the nazis? Why don't they say it's bad? We all know it's because they secretly (but not really a secret) agree with them.
Also fun fact, a lot of feds are Nazis. And not in the psy-op false flag kind of way. A lot of federal employees are unapologetic Nazis not because of false flag, but genuinely.

https://twitter.com/TaylorLorenz/sta...p9go1AC8Q&s=19Twitter is paying high profile far right content creators, including Andrew Tate, thousands of dollars for posting to the app.
Our story:
In short Musk paying money to far-right to be on Twitter.

you can tell he started making his money by pawning apartheid emeralds from his dads mine without having any idea how much they're worth rofl
I was about to edit my post.
I guess this was rolled out today? Supposedly some type of revenue share but I guess in short paying them.
[https://twitter.com/Twitter/status/1...j8X357Cmg&s=19Surprise! Today we launched our Creator Ads Revenue Sharing program.
We’re expanding our creator monetization offering to include ads revenue sharing for creators. This means that creators can get a share in ad revenue, starting in the replies to their posts. This is part of our effort to help people earn a living directly on Twitter.
We're rolling out the program more broadly later this month and all eligible creators will be able to apply.
Go get yourself something nice!
More information here on the program here:
I mean he is a brilliant business man I guess. Since his platform is right wing, might as well pay right wing creators.

"Buh dah DEMS"
Just yesterday, 5 bots followed my twitter account, the amount of bots have massively increased ever since Musk took over twitter it's frankly quite annoying and rather ironic since I thought he would do something about bots - I get new bot followers every day now and that never used to happen.

oh, ok then
I'm still not sure how he thinks this will make Twitter money when Twitter is literlaly just giving away some of their revenue to creators who aren't generating much actual revenue for them.
I don't know why he thinks he can solve a problem on a failing platform when far larger and more (currently) successful platforms like Twitch and YT which are equally reliant on content creators to draw large audiences are still struggling how to pay content creators while making literally any money. I don't think either has been profitable like...ever.

I got those for a bit when I first made one but it's been ages...I feel like I'm increasingly immune from bots, my Bnet account isn't even getting spammed with all the D4 goldseller shit!
Amusingly, I used to actually comb through replies sometimes back when Twitter had more accurate rankings based on the actual popularity/engagement with the post and all.
I can't think of the last time I did that since every deeply unpopular, awful, unfunny, uninteresting, and stupid person can spend $8/month to have their content clutter up real estate that would potentially have something worth reading.
But hey, I guess Twitter doesn't make money delivering ads anyways based on the earlier decision around limiting tweets etc. so technically I'm saving them money I guess? Unintentionally, I swear.
I kinda do on a certain level. Stumbling upon Betty Bowers tweets are always fun, for example, and I can't remember the last time that happened. There was some Quality Content(TM) up in there. A whole lot of trash, but some decent enough stuff. Now it's mostly the losers who were mad their content never went anywhere because it sucked (hence the lack of capitalization).
He's paying them to fan up more controversy and right talking points, and to show that 'verified' is a 'success'.
rofl so echo chambers within echo chambers designed to drive high engagement for a crowd that thinks $8/month to receive targeted advertising on a free to use platform is a good deal
well, at least we know that the revenue share will likely negligible for creators so it shouldn't really hurt the bottom like for Twitter with this model lol
wait i thought if u had a blue check u didnt see adverts?
