Man I hope it gets removed from the app stores for this.

Im sure that's no small amount of activity for Twitter

This will be likely the move.

I still believe the idiot know the ToS of the App Store, but he can quickly add that you can block if you have Twitter blue.
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!

That wont help since it's a required feature for the program to be on the store so it can't be paid feature.

"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.

Removing the ability to block, because the person being blocked might like that, is not how you prevent harassment.

And if he really felt that way, he wouldn't charge for the privilege.

    You are defending the indefensible.

Only person I have blocked on Twitter is Musk as his stupid tweets pop up on my feed as I just can't stand him.

No, it's someone also showing the guidelines of the app stores. It's a bit more than some random people claiming "nah that's not how those very clear terms work"

Wonder if he took a gander at how many people have him blocked

I’m not a legal expert, but this, imo, does seem a bit vague. I’m taking it as referring to the platform's ability of restricting or blocking certain users who engage in abusive behavior from using the service altogether. Others, as the GoodPillow guy posted, are interpreting it differently. I’m not sure which is correct, tbh, but I’m sure the Mute option can be reworked if it is actually in violation.
And yet the Google Play one says "Provides an in-app system for blocking UGC and users", separate from the feature to report and have moderation. It's not vague at all, it's pretty clear cut.

I highly doubt Apple is going to want to be outdone when it comes to keeping their app store clean, even if you want to try to argue the idea of "well maybe it just means this!".

Besides the fact that the Apple one also specifically mentions to combat anonymous bullying, which is going to fall into giving the user the tools for it.

I love how the defense for removing Block is "well, they can just strengthen Mute so it does what Block did"

    So there's more to it.

Kinda like he changed the name "Twitter" into "X". Truly, a pioneering innovator who will fearlessly venture into the known.
Block and mute are two different functions already. Mute just hides posts from that account. Block also prevents them from seeing or replying to your posts, or from DMing you.

It says something when someone commented that "some people see blocks as a badge of honor, like you couldn't take a joke" and Elon Musk posted agreeing with them.

So it's a block just called something different and now you are suddenly ok with it, lol
