I'm beginning to think like most conservatives with subjects like this there is a bit of projection. Thinking back to when he called the guy that rescued the kids from the cave a pedophile.

Yeah, that's...kind of well-established. Ties in with Wilhoit's axiom (i.e. that reactionaries are essentially defined by the belief that laws exist to protect the designated worthy and bind everyone else), really.

I mean, stats bear the theory out. Between rampant molestation in churches and how frequently GOP politicians and right wing policy advocates get outed as pedophiles, it's pretty obvious which side of the political spectrum is actually engaging in the behavior.

Nevermind that despite waging a never-ending war against abortion and gender affirming care for trans minors, they are always the first in line to cut or block spending for school programs, education, and health care for children and mothers.

I will never trust the character of a person who believes that morality needs to be imposed upon them by an external force under threat of eternal damnation in order for them to behave with decency towards fellow human beings. These people don't have an internal moral compass, if left to their own devices they can and will cause harm. Hell, often they invent loopholes to circumvent religious doctrine (if not change it outright), showing how feeble their morality is to begin with, plus the absolute ignorance required to think they can pull one over on a being they consider omniscient and omnipotent.

I don't think we should label Mr. Welch (who went in with an AR-15, gun, and brought some extra firearms) - and actually looked at the empty backrooms (not basement - obviously the lack of basement didn't stop it) as a nut.

IMO all the ones that "believed" and spread the conspiracy - like Elon, but didn't care to do something about it (except angry social media posts) are more deserving of that label. Perhaps they "believed" in it like they believe in the tooth fairy, or treated the spread of those stories on social media as a form of entertainment - like wrestling?

I think the fact that he believed the conspiracy theories and went there - armed - to investigate them very much places him in the category of, "Loony bin whackadoos". He did shoot the ceiling and pointed the gun at an employee while "investigating", it wasn't as if he politely asked and went about this peacefully.

There's a reason only one person was dumb and crazy enough to do that.

I'm aware and I'm not denying that there's something wrong with his grasp on reality, but at least he acted sincerely.

The ones that "believe" it, but only post memes about it (or bad pizza reviews) as Elon are far nuttier.

sounds like an amazing way to make other advertisers rethink doing business with him.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Makes me wish he'd be busted for child porn. Or maybe murder ala Glass Onion.

You can see the gears turning in the interviewers head, trying to figure out how to salvage the situation and make sense of the nonsense happening in front of him. He's trying to give Elon an out and brings up Yaccarino (who likely is thankful that she's not responsible for the most disastrous Twitter interview anymore) and her need to sell ads and what's Elon going to do about that?

And his response is the company dies. Which like...yeah, genius. Way to spend $44B on a profitable company and burn it to the ground in a bit over a year?

And he thinks that he can tell a tale of how it's the advertisers fault for killing Twitter because Twitter made a series of policy changes that reduced the value of its users while also creating brand-risks which made advertisers wary of continuing advertising efforts?

Let's see how earth responds to that?
Like, seriously this man is not well and people are just pretending his still well. He's so incredibly high on his own supply without realizing it. I'll once again ask how this man has not undergone a recent security review given his companies contracts and his, at best, questionable behavior.

Because the only famous people who are ever forced to get "help" for their disturbing and unhinged behavior are women. Men like Elon, Kayne, Trump, they allowed to become more and more insane with no intervention.

I'm sure a senile old fuck like Biden should get some help too, not be leading one of the largest countries on earth.

Reminder that "senile old fuck Biden" played the Republican Legislature like a fiddle during this past State of the Union, baiting them expertly and going off-script to do so.

Which either seems to indicate that he's not actually senile or that Republicans might be more senile than Biden. Which would just be dreadfully embarrassing.

He also doesn't spend all day on social media, so that probably helps.

    This is your hot take.

Eloquent and witty old man with a stutter speaks like an eloquent and witty old man with a stutter, is exactly the same as a mentally ill black rapper who loves Hitler, an old guy who makes up adjectives and tries to strangle Secret Service officers who won't let him lead an insurrection and a billionaire who spouts Jewish question shit on Twitter.

    Nice hot take.

Yeah. Biden is old. We should learn the lesson and stop nominating octogenarians, no matter how likeable or suitable they are for the job.

But old is not the same as insane or incompetent.

In case this isn't just a very sad and pathetic troll:

You're aware that not everyone engages in politics with the same sycophantic mindset as you do? You may worship the big orange and treat every word as gospel, but not everyone see politics as team sports. So while you think you made a great point sticking it to biden and you will probably be cheered on as a brave orange warrior in the deep caverns of breitbart, its quite pathetic.

Biden being old doesn't change Musk/Trump/Kayne being unhinged antisemites. Biden is old, yeah, we know. So what? Even if you tell this to actual democrats they'll probably say "Yeah, we know!"

And that's probably the difference. Here in democracy land it is fine to disagree with your own "team". But i get it, hard to grasp for you, as if you would once show one little sliver of your own thought/expression you'd be stamped as an heretic and thrown out of the cult you love so much and made a centerpiece of your life. As i said at the start: Sad and pathetic.

Babbling about how they're trying to "blackmail" him; what a joke. No, you ridiculous trust-fund baby: it being a manipulation tactic would suggest that they actually want to be associated with you after the crap you've pulled. You made them look bad by association; you burned the bridges; they are done with your ass.

And, sadder yet? Yaccarino tried to spin it as an "apology" or an "explanation" or something. Hush, Linda; "go fuck yourself" and accusations of blackmail rule either of the above out. Your boss is doubling down, you're going to get dragged down with him, and I can't say as I don't like that for you.

Not going to jump to any conclusions; but: he at very least was buddy-buddy with at very least Ghislaine (who's all the more awful for ruining that name). And then, there's how he casually accused Vernon Unsworth of CSA for showing him up; and...well, see previous posts about reactionaries and projection.

All-in-all: I think he has some very, very ugly skeletons in his closet—not necessarily that kind, but definitely skeletons, and definitely ugly ones. And I can't help but hope that they finally get exposed.

I know that entering Musk's head must be an horror scenario like the movie "The Cell" Jennifer Lopez did but just out of curiosity....what the hell does blackmail mean?

No, really, what is the end game of IBM or Apple by pulling advertising? That Musk stops doing antisemitic posts? That their brand don't get damaged?. What is the actual goal of the blackmail Musk is suffering?

Now, the head that I would REALLY like to get into is Yaccarino's. Sure she laid her own bed it's not that Musk issues were not public but the woman must be in a permanent state of " Oh my god....AGAIN this fucking dumbass making my job impossible.......!!!!".

    Honestly.
The thing this shows is that shit valued in billions mean nothing to billionaires.

    For them it's just things.

If Twitter burns it's no dirt on Elons fingers. Just the people out of jobs

With how much money he had given to him though this could bite him heavily, at least somewhat for a billionaire.
