The overvalued company that Elom paid even more for is worth 71% of the $44B he spent on it according to Fidelity. That brings the $44B investment he raised down to a value of around $12.5B.

Really, I don't think anyone in this thread could accomplish these kinds of returns on investment so far. We could all forget that we raised the funds to purchase a company and would probably be doing better letting the folks in charge continue to run things.

It's wild how this topic has turned so many people into assholes in one way or another. Even aside from the content of their rhetoric, the tone and tenor is just pointlessly combative and shitty. It keeps making me think back to that interview with a NYT op-ed guy who lives in Israel and covers the region extensively, and how he basically does everything possible to ignore the discussion on the war out west because it's so ludicrously uninformed and awful despite everyone apparently feeling super confident they know everything.
