Yep. The ones that are so "perfectly engineered" that they had to stop shipping them with the wheel-well inserts because there was so little clearance between the inserts and the tires that they were literally destroying the tires when under load......

Calling the thing a clown car is an actual insult to functional circus vehicles.

I saw one on the road earlier tonight, and they look even stupider in person.

Well Matt Taibbi being a journalist gives us a text showing...well Matt Taibbi being the worst journalist.

So Taibbi asks about being shadowbanned which I will say never happened when Twitter was Twitter. Elon gives some bs about when he used the excuse of competitors to ban people. Then the best party Taibbi says "Repeatedly declined to criticize Elon" Damn! So you had media bias and sorta, as we know, worked hand in hand with Elon on the Twitter Files.

Very embarrassing for both, but Taibbi should be done.

man i very distinctly remember liking him and being impressed by him during the bush years when he was one of the few journalists going on TV regularly talking about how bush was an idiot and the war(s) were incredibly stupid, and he was one of the forerunners of talking about housing crisis issues before the crash itself happened.

it's doubly sad to me to see him have devolved into such a simp... or was he always a dipshit, and i was only exposed to the clock being right twice a day back in the early-mid 2000s?

rofl people spend years collecting examples of Taibbi being a dishonest hack and...the man just fuckin tweets it out.

(gosh that joke/meme is getting a lot of use)

It's funny watching simps thinking they're totally dunking on someone else own-goal themselves. I do hope Taibbi has realized how deeply he's humiliated himself by now.

"Basically, over the past week, Elon has grown more frustrated with the engagement counts dropping; last week he fired an engineer over this," the employee said, referring to Yang.

"He's been pushing all engineers to do investigations daily. Meetings are scheduled at 11 p.m. and often last till midnight. The issue we are solving is simple: why are Elon's tweet counts dropping. It's that and only that — not about other accounts."
Elom Muskrat got so jealous that his Super Bowl Tweet only had 1/3 the engagement that Biden's Super Bowl tweet had that he called an all hands on deck meeting to engineer a "solution" to it. The solution being that all his posts were at the top of everyone's page who hadn't already blocked/muted him. So it's very likely that he has even more people blocking/muting him now.

There was another article from business insider talking about how for awhile Musk also banned meetings of more than 2 employees because he was paranoid of a mutiny/sabotage.

It's no wonder the dude fell down the alt right pipeline, his ego is more fragile than rice paper.

Also like, I was having this conversation with a friend the other day, that even normal people should be able to notice the obvious satire of Helldivers 2 and how it's making fun of fascism, imperialism, colonialism etc.

Then the other day the tweet about Starship Troopers appears where some guy is crying about how "leftists" always misinterpret the movie.

Elon Musk's social media platform X captivated online audiences during its livestream of Super Bowl LVIII, boasting over 10 billion impressions and 1 billion video views.

However, a new report suggests those giant viewership numbers masked a bot epidemic behind the scenes. Cybersecurity firm CHEQ claims that a staggering 75.85% of traffic referrals from X to client websites during the big game weekend was fake, as reported by Mashable.

This casts serious doubts on the legitimacy and transparency of X's user metrics. As Musk touts record engagement, he continues struggling to curb an apparent flood of artificial activity that now dominates platform's discourse.

Bots have become visible part of experience on X in recent months

According to cybersecurity firm CHEQ, a staggering 75.85 percent of traffic referrals from X to its advertising clients' websites over Super Bowl weekend was fake. This shocking figure is based on an analysis of over 144,000 visits from X during the period from February 9 to February 12.

"I've never seen anything even remotely close to 50 percent, not to mention 76 percent," said CHEQ CEO Guy Tytunovich. "I'm amazed...I've never, ever, ever, ever seen anything even remotely close."

While bots have become an increasingly visible part of the experience on X in recent months, the scale of inauthentic activity suggested by this data exceeds even skeptical expectations.

Many frequent X posters have noticed their notifications and replies filling up with bot accounts. These fakes are often easy to spot, with randomly generated usernames, minimal posting history, and a tendency to spam followers with promotions or nonsensical AI-generated text.

If I recall correctly, he tried to get out of purchasing Twitter by claiming there were too many inauthentic bots, right? Or something to that effect? And committed to focusing on the bot problem?

And now it sounds like it's not only likely worse than before he purchased it, but it's possibly the most bot-infested of major social media sites?

I'm beginning to think this guy isn't actually very good at running a company. I guess Linda still gets a nice paycheck for having the CEO title though, must be a charmed life to seemingly just kinda show up to work, take some meetings, and then find out the latest policy changes in real-time with every other Twitter user.

  9. #5669
Omfg, the bot problem is worse than ever. How can anyone not see this who spends anytime. Surprised people who report and follow Twitter have not done articles on this.

First any reply and funny enough of course is the blue check spam. More importantly is the advertising. Now I guess they automatically get a blue check(?) when advertising. No matter its bot spam shit.

Between your post in the Trump thread and here, I have to ask: do you simp for all of the braindead billionaires or just the ones that are also bigoted assholes? I mean, I'm going to have to explicitly state that that's a rhetorical question because I doubt you're capable of coming to that conclusion on your lonesome, but hopefully it drives you to pause for a few seconds and ponder your motives. Don't bother replying. I won't see it.

Next News headline is gonna be "Elon Musk sues company that made his stock prices drop because they revealed how corrupt and shitty Elon Musk is" Not really though it's gonna totally favor Musk in the slant.

Point is that this is gonna piss Elon the hell off and he's gonna flail around and try to do something about it, but everyone else has receipts and he just has his 12 year old boy ego of being the best, always being told he's the best, and always getting what he wants. He's gonna face some consequences.

All I want is for the comments under a tweet actually be related to the damn tweet...its that too much to ask. The site is unusable.

Fortune uses a half-assed but annoying paywall, but I assure you, what you think the headline means is correct.

If nothing else, at least Musk's upcoming court failures come from a fair fight. Musk appears to have competent lawyers arguing an invalid case. I could name a celebrity who thinks he's President who can't say that.
People say Texas is the one of the most business friendly states in the country. Delaware has them beat by a mile with how friendly their laws are for corporations. That is why 50% or more of all public businesses in the US incorporate in Delaware.

This is correct. Especially chemical companies. It's mortifying.

Thing is, Musk's issues involve being on the wrong side this time, same as his attempt to back out of buying Twitter. Don't forget, he was sued by his own shareholders, leading to this decision. Delaware is protecting them.

So a whole bunch of conservative accounts are posting that Biden signed Executive Order 9066 and it gives all illegals a free $5k gift card. These threads are getting likes and people making seemingly serious comments believing this (if they're not all bots).

The reality is that it's the anniversary of Executive Order 9066 which was an order to remove all people of Japanese descent from US soil.

This seems to follow a recent trend where accounts with a conservative audience will hijack a trending topic, either completely lying about it or just putting the trending topic in a hashtag but talk about something unrelated. Most of these have been very anti Biden.

They're running scared that they have to make very deliberate misinformation campaigns, but also crazy that people actually believe them. When I told @tehdang that conservatives are living in a reality of their own making, this is what I mean. Ultimately they're being sold opinions by people whose entire job it is to make up shit online.

Damn, I was really hoping it was because one of them, somewhere, misinterpreted Execute Order 66.

I'll have perished, but I hope EO 42069 is the most benign EO in history, like "Hopscotch courts are now mandated in all public parks"
