Musk’s “danger” in this election isn’t that he, personally, is going to do much to sway people to voting for Trump. I fail to believe that the number of people who care what Elon musk thinks and are also politically “undecided” is a very large one.

Musk’s danger is in him weaponizing Twitter to serve and boost conservative messaging and misinformation before the election.

I wonder if Musk is regretting taking such a strong stand that deepfakes and fake information are encouraged on the social media platform he paid $44 billion for on purpose.

Honestly, watching twitter, he does boost a lot of conservative conspiracies... but then still gets ratio'd or community noted. He's taken over the @america tag too, to post "news" about America and urges every American to follow it, lol.

Anyway, collecting these like pokemon cards.

Twitter unbanned after Elon stops being a little bitch and complies with Brazilian law.

Imagine that, there was never an evil judge out to get Twitter personally and it was always about following written law. Crazy.

I just remembered Trump's tweet from 2019 or so where Elon visited the white house and Trump called Elon a little bitch simping for government funding from daddy Trump. And Elon went "Yes daddy can I have some more?"

Conservatives can avoid all their legal problems with this one easy trick, but they hate it!

The moment I saw it, it reminded me of something, but I couldn't figure out what. After a few days it's come to me.

He looks like Alan Tudyk acting as a genocidal alien poorly pretending to be a human in a SyFy show. No offense to Tudyk, of course.

None of those pictures are helping Musk beat the allegations. I guess he’ll just have to keep suspending anybody that calls him weird on Twatter.

The difference is that Alan Tudyk is hilarious in Resident Alien, whereas Elon Musk is only hilarious in his own mind.

Just watched the first two seasons and Alan Tudyk absolutely carries that show.

Elon jumping up and down just reminds me of Stewart from Mad TV.

Elon Musk offered free Starlink to people hurt by Hurricane Helene, but when you look into the offer it actually costs about $400 for the dish, and then people are automatically rolled into a $120 per-month contract when the free month ends.

So besides the Trump lie, when the government was paying for Helene starlink; we have this. This guy doesn't give shit away for Free. Just a great opportunity to sign up some people after a major disaster.

Edit: Oh btw I checked spaceX twitter account on this.

I think the funniest part is that to even be able to sign up for free Starlink you have to have internet service in the first place to do it via their website, which makes one wonder why they'd even need the free Starlink.

And that's beside the fact that it'll take 2-3 weeks to even deliver the dish (which incidentally requires that the roads even be functional enough for UPS to do so), by which time it's highly likely that regular internet service will have been restored and they really won't need the free Starlink.

Thank you. I know no one will see this but I ordered a starlink that is supposed to arrive at my house Friday. My house is in the 10-15ft surge area and I’m in zone B. Not looking like my house will be there but it’s going to help if it’s delivered over the weekend to that address.

Would be interesting to see the unveiling of Tesla's Cybercab concept. Likely a bunch of rendering and some conceptual design. Right now, Tesla is way behind Waymo in term of self-driving car technology and actual implementation of the technology into viable business model.

    Cybercab vs. Waymo

Tesla does not yet have approved FSD technology -- its current technology requires an attentive human driver to be present. That technology has also received a lot of criticism, and the NHTSA investigated 956 crashes involving Tesla's autopilot or FSD technology from January 2018 through August 2023. There have been a number of high-profile Tesla crashes, including one earlier this year where a car under the control of its newest FSD technology slammed into a California Highway Patrol cruiser that was responding to a crash, and another where the technology failed to detect a moving train.

While Tesla spurned both lidar and radar technology in the past, it now appears to be trying to catch up both on the technology and real-world application fronts. Earlier this year, lidar maker Luminar Technologies reported that in the first quarter, Tesla was its biggest customer. That likely came as a surprise to many onlookers, as Tesla CEO Elon Musk had previously said that companies using lidar to underpin their self-driving technology were doomed to fail. Tesla could be changing its approach to lidar, but currently, none of its vehicles are equipped with the technology.

It's difficult to argue against the idea that Waymo has the lead in the robotaxi market -- after all, it's the only company actually running this type of business in the U.S. Next, it will have to continue to reduce the costs of these vehicles, which it is looking to do with its latest autonomous driving tech, Waymo Driver. Compared to its previous system, Waymo Driver decreases the number of cameras around the vehicles from 29 to 13, and reduces the number of lidar sensors from five to four. It is still testing this new technology to determine whether it can decrease the number of cameras and still have the same level of safety.

Until costs come down, robotaxis will be more of a speculative bet than the foundation of a solid investment thesis. However, the great thing about an investment in Alphabet is that Waymo amounts to the equivalent of a free lottery ticket to go with shares that are today being valued based on the current business. Meanwhile, many Tesla investors, including ARK Invest's Cathie Wood, are centering their investment thesis for the EV giant on its robotaxi ambitions.

The stock took a hit, because they haven't shown any improvements to FSD. At this point, Tesla is losing ground to other companies, while trying to also be other things. Normally, that's fine, but Musk is constantly trying to get involved in order to appear to be leading the charge.

I think most people are fine with the idea of a robotaxi, but the places that need it most, have major issues when it comes to traffic. Take New York City, where actually obeying the traffic laws means you can't get around. You have crosswalks that have people constantly in them for 12 hours out of the day, or you have congestion so bad that certain intersections require you to crowd your way through a red light.

Robotaxis will not be a real thing in 2.5 years, at least not in any difficult environment.

I demand all robo taxis be voiced by Robert Picardo,if I'm stuck living in a dystopian future I at least want Johnny Cabs to be a thing.
