Exported cars have to meet the safety standards of the place they are being exported to, not the place they are made.
Seems weird to talk about another country's safety standards in comparison to the state of the Cybertruck, honestly.
The cybertruck violates a EU (and also a UK) law that bans the sale of passenger vehicles that have "exhibit sharp external projections." These increase the risk of injury when a car hits a person significantly, hence the ban. If Tesla can't even get that right, I have zero hope for the rest of the vehicle.
I posted this in the Trump thread, but this belongs here too since it is about Elon.
Is it just me or did X/Twitter become more.... angry after Elon bought it? I remember it being much MUCH better back in like 2014
I don't play WoW anymore smh.
I'll say it will turn out as fake, and it was created by trumpians so they can later reveal that it was fake and have a gotcha moment and blame it on the left and they'll say the left created/faked this.
The sad part about this is that the way he talks and what he says is so unbelievably stupid, but at the same time, he is that unbelievably stupid so it sounds real again.
I don’t think trumpkins have that level of forethought. They really can’t comprehend that people dislike them, trump or musk for any reason other than “liberals don’t like that their team lost and they don’t like that Trump is MAGAing again.” They lack the fundamental awareness to engage in self-parody, because if they had that awareness they’d know not to be trump supporters.
I’m erring heavily on the side of AI generated but that it was made by someone who doesn’t like Vance and Elon and what Elon is doing. Non-trump people aren’t 100% beholden to always acting above board, especially when AI shit like this is so easy to make.
“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.” ~ Emily3, World of Tomorrow
Words to live by.
On top of that, twitter also added a feature that lets people pay to be considered more relevant to the algorithm, making their posts more likely to be pushed into your feed and making their replies get priority over everyone else. And the people who pay for that service apparently skew pretty heavily to the "right-wing chud who thinks you should have to listen to their opinions on things" side of the aisle, because a lot of people say that the reason they finally ditched twitter is because shitty people kept clogging up their "For You" tab.
