Elon do not need a reson to liquidate tesla stock, its his private stock. It have no long time inpact as long its so "smale" amount. If somthing tanking the stock is the fear that this Twitter venture will distract Elon from Tesla.

No; there's no such general condition in the agreement, and for the SEC-filings only specific parts are included as possible grounds for breaking the contract, and not the section containing the bot-figure.

And remember: Musk wanted to buy Twitter in part to clean up bots...
I agree that there might be fraud and criminal incompetence - but from Musk.

The filings are public, and there have been serious commentators explaining why Twitter will win (but hedging their bets just in case).

We can certainly learn some lessons: don't skip due diligence, don't spend >10% of your alleged money on a whim, read agreements before signing.

Possibly - that would make sense; it's just that he should have selected a saner target.

Another possibility is that he was too high and thought himself invincible, and not bound by mortal rules.

There are more options than just "not have to pay" and "be forced to buy." There's also the option where he doesn't buy twitter but is forced to pay the difference in share price between the current share price and the proposed buyout price. So currently a bit less than $20b.

As I understand it that isn't an option in the lawsuit - but might be possible if they settle out of court.

The problem with such a deal is that the current share price should (with a functioning and efficient stock-market) include the outcome of the dispute; so to make it fair it should be the difference between the proposed buyout price and the post-settlement share price.

Welp, rack up loss #1 for Elon.

Musk wanted to push the trial into 2023, but the judge said nah, it's happening in October.

Only two and a half months until the side-show rolls into town, fam. This is gonna be fun.

bruh really should have spent his money on actual lawyers and not pan handling his dipshit followers for advice after it came out they're suing him in the state of Delaware. the one state where he might actually be thrown in jail over this.

Hey, give the guy a break. He's got a weird body shape and he doesn't get much sun. The latter of which I imagine applies to many of us here, I know I'm pasty as fuck.

I'm just wondering whatever happened to his "HARDCORE LITIGATION" team he was putting together. Do they exist yet? Because if they do they don't seem to be doing well given that he list his bid to delay the trial until 2023.

We have plenty of other things to mock him about. Like him tanking TSLA value in the process of trolling the FEC and likely being forced to honor his obligation to buy Twitter. Or his weird uncle-brother that he has because his family is weird as fuck (not including kids, I don't know anything about his kids other than his daughter who changed her name wants nothing to do with him).

There might not even be a trial, the Greek sun will boil him alive. He needs at least factor 50 to survive.

Great video on Musk and why he is fake, not a smart, a good business person and just a piece of crap.

If you choose not watch or whole vid., around the 12 minute market is the point. Yet when questioned about his practices he turned to right wing, which of course fits his business practice now.

Just me, or does he look like if Mike Meyers gained a bunch of weight while muttering lines from the Cat in the Hat in a closet for a decade?

No litigation team can save Musk from himself as demonstrated by his tweets and you know signing a binding contract without due diligence or discovery.

At first had a problem with the first line, as 'owning' can also mean something other than actually buying the shares - and Musk is more associated with 'self-own'; https://www.merriam-webster.com/word...ang-definition

Yeah Elon Musk is an unstable entitled boob, who's a shitty human being and using money to get people to like him because in my opinion he is a failure without money he was given. He's more successful than most though or has been, but his Stupidity because o his weakness is going to sink him

Because like anybody else, once you can't pay off enough people and you start to be less amusing to the idiots that love him. He is going to arrive in a very lonely and darker place. And this time the same stupid people hating him for not being whatever he is trying to be for them

After two weeks off I come back to.
Elon musk tweeting about how he can't get laid.
Then deleting it when a bunch of fanbros offer to suck him off is a perfect start to the week, thank you twitter. Totally worth 44 Billion.

Did this really all happen because Musk got butthurt thinking that twitter had bots pushing the public narrative in the direction of the left? Or got upset about some anti Musk sentiments or something?

If the dude had just kept making electric cars and not started shoving his nose where it didn't belong, he wouldn't be in this shit.
