I hope this twat crashes and burns, this moron is another trump in the making. The guy has no fucking clue what he is talking about and thankfully it's now out in the open for everyone to see. I hope this will finally end the endless string of softball interviews where he gets to spew complete bullshit year after year lying through his teeth. Sure, some delusional hardcore fans will remain, but I have the feeling this has at least opened some people's eyes and also changed the general impression media was selling of him.

I liked when he claimed twitter was serving every employee a 400 dollar meal each day and when being called out by the person responsible he claimed they forgott to add the HR costs, which would still mean they had a 3 start michelin star chef for each employee apparently... "Engineering genius" my ass. I hope these claims about someone who can't even do basic math finally end now.
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.
Just saw this. Reeeeal good move Elon. Keep in touch with the extreme right, murder base of Twitter.
Also I guess Richard Spencer, the white supremacist is verified. For what its worth, he paid $8 so there's that. Spencer has been suspended multiple times I believe, yet reinstated his account. Of course before then, Twitter would not verify a neo-Nazi.

What a fucking joke. 1 blue checkmark for 8 bucks. I could get 2 on a place that now allows nudity for that price!
Musk, champion of free speech, has been firing employees for calling out his terrible policy and business handling on Twitter.
“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.”

No, if we're going with that metaphor, this is more like what would happen if you put a random MMO-Champion poster in charge of the entire game.
Musk doesn't have any experience running a social media platform, he's just obsessed with reading and posting on social media and thinks he knows what's best for it.
And frankly Musk doesn't make products. He clearly doesn't have much hands-on involvement with any of his companies and hasn't for a very long time, if ever. Also Tesla and SpaceX are both heavily subsidized, Twitter ain't.

Man, I didn't see it up until now, but you are absolutely right. Elon Musk would totally pick something like "Thrillhouse" as a username.
So?
Not the interesting part.
How it started How it’s going
Not linking but a tweet from Libs of Tik Tok.
Well guess who replies?
A tragic case of adult onset Tourette’s
I know I know, Elon is just meme'ng. He is that cool edge lord kid that tells everyone they are the "R" word and don't take it serious man!
In reality a CEO calling an ex employee about Tourette's is not the best look.
"Buh dah DEMS"
And with this little gem:
https://twitter.com/pcjon3s/status/1...7w5NOuCct3zGcAIt’s wild to me that there’s a platform where I can just call the richest man in the world a baby bitch and there’s a good chance he’ll see it
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1592460984534597632
Rofl, Elon just shitposting on Twitter about his own product and apparently showing that he understands it even less than people who don't even work at the fucking company. Yes, someone who doesn't work at the company but just pointed out that your random musing are bullshit will totally be able to tell you why Twitter is slower in some countries than in others.
https://twitter.com/andreasdotorg/st...48228443971584
And someone pointed out a fair question for how Elon is supposed to react to his MASSIVE INTELLECT being challenged by someone he can't fire. Homeboy at least doesn't seem banned yet, rofl. That's not fair, how is Elon supposed to fire you now?
Imagine, you just bought a $44B company, still have functionally now knowledge of its codebase, and go publicly on your platform to shit-talk your remaining employees for the platform being bad at XYZ, soliciting support from randoms on Twitter to solve the problems he doesn't understand.
Rather than...you know...having some meetings to get a full understanding of the picture and then delegating people to address the issue and report back to you. Like...basic boss shit?
I'm beginning to think that Elon's companies all operate purely in spite of him, rather than because of him. And that the less direct involvement he has with the day-to-day of any of his companies, the smoother operations and better performance is.
He's not a basic boss, though. He's just some rich jackass who slaps his name on other people's work and ideas (even if those ideas were discredited decades ago), in hopes that there are enough people around him who are actually competent to keep it from being a complete trainwreck.
Well he is known to run around his other companies and randomly fire people who disagree with him. I wouldn't surprise if they operated like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFihTRIxCkg
You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.
Elon Musk has been directing subordinates to comb through Twitter's Slack and make lists of people making fun of him or his plans for firing. They've also been monitoring employee's tweets. Latest w/
First, petty and insecure this bitch has to do it, but hey it's Elon. This should collapse the confidence of Slack if it already is not (personally I have no experience with it). People will defend that in any workplace this would get you fired, sure. Yet, this is supposed to be a "private" channel for employees. Take it like a man, Elon.
Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk has given employees until Thursday evening to commit to “extremely hardcore” work or else leave the company, according to a copy of a late-night internal email sent by the billionaire and obtained by CNN
Twitter 2.0 folks!
I love douchebag bosses like this. Just go Hardcore!! As stated a few pages back, the rights of workers are just shitted on. For most of these people, they have to keep working to live so no choice. Elon effin up his business then demand extreme work hours and I guess undying loyalty is bs.
Scoop: Elon Musk just sent an email to all staff outlining "Twitter 2.0", writing it will"need to be extremely hardcore". Long hours, high intensity.
People need to click "yes" to confirm being part of this by 5pm ET tomorrow, else they get 3 months severance. More details:

"Extremely hardcore" I had to read that twice to make sure that was really coming from an adult. He cuts 75% of the staff then makes the 25% work 3 times as hard. This is just a recipe for burnouts and mass quitting not to mention who in their right mind would go back or get a job at twitter now. I would say the word brain drain but I doubt there's much brain left in that company.
It's also heavily hypocritical. Musk was one of the more outspoken people about liberals "canceling" and "silencing" people by firing them for criticizing the left or banning them for breaking TOS.
Now he's firing people because he can't take criticism, and banning people for breaking the TOS... which is basically just "ban anyone who makes fun of Elon Musk" and no other TOS are being enforced because of course they aren't.
He's a tiny petty manchild.

I agree, and exercise this myself.
But there are folks who are desperate for a job, and owners know this. Which makes those who exercise work-to-rule expendable, since they can easily be replaced by someone desperate enough to do whatever they are told so they can afford their bare minimums.
I think the best step forward to getting more people on board would be to do away with employment-at-will doctrines. If people were protected by the law, it would be a lot easier to stand by work-to-rule as the power is not solely in the hands of the employer.

Your name will carry on through generations, and will never be forgotten.
There are grown man behaving like this. My first job was in a software start-up, run by a guy who describes himself as "technology evangelist" - he spent a few months jetting around the world searching for investors, promising everything, then spent a month in the office, furiously micro-managing disrupting anything useful that has been built in his absence, and each friday we had a get together where he would berate everybody for not being pro-active enough.
Me, being young and naive and being a hyped fanboy, was always on his good side (he actually (the HR guy which i often smoked with told me) had a ranking chart with employees where i ranged always top3). Then one friday, after another 1 hour triade of how no one ever gets up and presents anything, i raised my hand and - i will never forget these words - said: "Well, maybe it is because people are afraid of backlash, and a bit of a hostile atmosphere?"
Guess who got fired a week laterBut, at least i learned a very important lesson in life.
I still check up from time to time on the company, i think they're not at re-start #5.
