Federal authorities have identified no credible threats to U.S. election systems despite persistent efforts by foreign adversaries, including Russia, to amplify disinformation about voter fraud and election integrity, senior FBI officials said Monday.

A month before the anticipated midterm vote, the officials said they were closely monitoring potential threats to election workers in the U.S., after local officials reported a wave of harassment and abuse before and after the contentious 2020 presidential election.

Since June 2021, the federal Elections Threat Task Force has reviewed more than 1,000 reports. About 11% of those met the threshold for federal investigation, so far resulting in four arrests.

The bulk of the potentially criminal threats involved election workers in seven states – Arizona, Georgia, Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Wisconsin – where the vote was close and involved post-election challenges.
No credible threats to the integrity of the upcoming election so far, but the FBI is looking into a lot of credible threats against election workers that are sent domestically.

I think we all know where those threats are coming from given the recent historical posting on who exactly has been making these threats.

This will probably make Dr Oz even *more* popular with GOP voters. The average GOP actively fantasizes about being this cruel. White women will tolerate the cruelty, as long as they get a fur coat out of it.
BREAKING: Dr. Oz is a puppy killer.

Dr. Oz’s Scientific Experiments Killed Over 300 Dogs, Entire Litter of Puppies
Columbia's internal investigation found that Oz's research team inflicted extensive suffering on canine test subjects in violation of the Animal Welfare Act.

Yeah boi, inject expired drugs STRAIGHT INTO THE HEARTS!

Grains of salt about the initial allegations given the PETA involvement and all, but at the very least there seems to be a connection between the fine at the school and his work. Not that we need more reasons to dislike "Dr. Oz" as a person.

I still think the most devastating attack on him is to ask his to either spell "crudité" correctly after hearing it or read the word aloud having never heard it. I mean it's not particularly challenging, but I imagine that for a lot of folks in PA (and for myself), his video is the first time they were ever exposed to the concept of a crudité.

Herschel. Boobie. I believe this is what they call an "October surprise"

Herschel Walker got a girlfriend pregnant in 2009, urged her to get an abortion, and then reimbursed her for the procedure.
Herschel Walker also says there should be no exceptions for abortion. (Except for himself I guess.)

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/pro-li...enate?ref=wrap
The woman provided us with a receipt from the abortion clinic, an image of a check from Herschel Walker reimbursing her for the abortion, and a "get well" card Herschel Walker sent her with the check.

    The kid you’ve actually acknowledged, a budding right-wing troll/influencer …

Trying to imagine Mitch McConnell's face right about now...

This should kill all his chances with the right wing, but they will still vote for the hypocrisy.

Go to his (shitty) kids twitter post and give it a look. You've got a few camps of responses from conservatives -

    1. "But you must honor your father and your mother, you're a christian!"

    2. "This needs to wait until after the election."

    3. "Clearly this boy is a leftist!"

Because morality and ethics and all that silly shit don't matter to them now more. They'll 100% vote for him because he says the right things, is dumb enough to be relatable to most of his constituents, lies as much as they do, and said he's really sorry he lied about having multiple children out of wedlock.

Why would it? Basically every "pro life" anti abortion dipshit has at least one mistress abortion in their past... banning it just means *poors* can't get it.

It's not hypocrisy when your position from the outset is that you are by necessity above reproach for anything and everything, so no matter what you do it doesn't count.

And in today's episode of, "Republicans are seemingly incapable of being intentionally funny, but are unintentionally hilarious.", we have Michigan GOP governor's candidate Tudor Dixon and the Gratiot County GOP's uh...troop of renaissance bikers?

This is up there with that old white lady from Utah rapping about running for Senate who ends with some fire burns on Justice Jackson for not knowing what a woman is. The sickest of burns.

Man, go figure. Report comes out that Walker paid one of the women he impregnated to get an abortion, and she has all the receipts including the card he sent her wishing her well, Republicans are suddenly a lot less supportive.

Man, this is why you should like, vet candidates before you publicly support them and shit. You don't wanna back a buy who's basically a walking walk-in closet of skeletons.

Ahh the blame game for Herschel Walker by conservatives seems to be going to his son. Well, his son of course seems to be a easy target for conservatives.

But his is old/new news and yet the people we get to say "gotcha" too, will never change their vote for Walker. They want right wing fascism and a step further: right wing, Evangelicalism fundamentalism.

Projecting here and not too much to do with midterm elections, is if this was a Left candidate he would be done. Enough Lefties or whoever in a tight Georgia race would likely just move away and that would be the end of the Dem candidate. I always give Republicans credit in "they don't give a F*ck about morals or whatever". Just Win Baby!
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!

Lauren Boebert's re-election in jeopardy, new poll shows

Republican firebrand Rep. Lauren Boebert is dangerously close to being upset by a little-known Democratic rival, a new poll in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District shows.

By the numbers: Boebert received support from 47% of likely voters, while Democrat Adam Frisch landed at 45% — making the race a statistical tie within the ±4.4 percentage point margin of error.

7% of voters are undecided, per the poll.

The survey, taken Sept. 2–Oct. 2 by Keating Research, a Democratic firm and one of the most accurate pollsters in Colorado, represents a 5-point swing toward Frisch. In July, Boebert held a 49%-42% advantage.

Unaffiliated voters — those not aligned with a major political party — strongly dislike Boebert, who's known for her Christian nationalist rhetoric, opposition to bipartisan legislation, and lighting rod remarks about guns and immigration. Those voters are shifting toward Frisch as the election progresses, pollsters said.

What they're saying: "With Boebert under 50%, that means she is vulnerable to losing this race," Chris Keating, president and founder of Keating Research, told Axios Denver on Tuesday.

Yes, but: The 3rd District on Colorado's Western Slope overwhelmingly favors Republicans, and the race is not considered competitive by national experts.

Boebert is a fundraising juggernaut and frequent surrogate supporter for Republican candidates across the country.

FiveThirtyEight gives Boebert a 98% chance of winning a second term.

We'll see....a lot can happen between now and then.

Well this makes the Walker story more fun: His campaign knew about the abortion he paid for months before the news broke.

Their strategy? Not to get out ahead of the news, but to simply hope that the story wouldn't gain any attention or notice.

“I think people were holding out hope that we have five weeks to go and it would never come out, but you can never bet on the waiting game,” said one person close to the Walker campaign, granted anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. That person said there were efforts to assuage concerns from within Walker’s own family about the abortion story coming out. Specifically, the person said, Walker’s son Christian, “told his dad that you have to tell the truth and come clean on this. It bubbled back up during the summer, and some people got to Christian and he was talked down off a ledge [about the abortion].”
And things are going worse -

Inside the state, top operatives professed to being dumbfounded by how the Walker team has handled the matter. Immediately after the Daily Beast item went live, Walker went on Fox News to refute the story, but host Sean Hannity repeatedly quizzed him on details from the story including the $700 check. And the early insistence that the campaign would sue the Daily Beast for defamation was viewed as a strategic misstep, one that would place the onus on the candidate to back up his fervent denial in court or look like he was bluffing. Instead, the aforementioned Georgia GOP operative suggested that Walker should have downplayed the story as something from a checkered, forgotten past.
Yet more empty legal threats from Republicans when they find out that actually pursuing said legal threats would be expensive, time consuming, pointless, and air a lot of their dirty laundry they don't want aired.

If republicans cared about morals, ethics or standards their leader and master would not be a guy who was out banging porn stars while his wife was pregnant. The whole "family values" thing is for when they want to force other people to do shit they don't do themselves.

IF true, Walker paid for one broad's abortion compared to Warnock who wants your tax dollars to pay for EVERY broad's abortion-as-birth control with no limitations. This isn't a difficult choice and conservatives shouldn't look to the left to validate their vote.
Man, Republicans really suck at this whole thing.

IF? Honey, the woman has the literal receipts. And a get well soon card from Hershel.

One "broad"? Ah, criticisms only for the women who Walker had sex with, but no criticism for Walker who had pre-marital sex with multiple women and fathered multiple children that, at least according to some, he was an absentee father to.

Republicans continue to be some of the most amoral folks I've ever seen.

Theoretical: If OPEC could influence US elections, would they?

OPEC cuts supply by 2m barrels/dday from the August required output levels. Also extends cooperation deal with Putin until end of 2023.

Do we all recognize and realize that the reason we're here... is because of a reactionary propaganda pipeline the likes of which the world has never seen before?

Man, this whole "litterboxes in schools" shit is getting dumber and dumber, with it morphing into "kids are identifying as cats!"

First off, no, none of this is happening. It's never happened, actually. But that hasn't stopped Republicans from TAKING THIS VERY REAL AND VERY SERIOUS ISSUE VERY SERIOUSLY for at least a year or two by now.

The schools accused of doing so are still surprised to hear this news and are annoyed at needing to tell Republican candidates to stop making up absolutely insane, stupid bullshit.

And you know what? If a kid wants to "identify" as a cat at school...so fuckin what? Let them be a little fuckin weirdo, that's part of what school is fuckin for.
