Isms bore me. I think they are only brought by people who seek to marginalize the potential of each ism to provide something meaningful. Name it, Capitalism, Socialism, even Communism-- all contain something of merit towards structuring a society. The biggest flaw in human history has been the need to take the worst of a system along with the best. It doesn't have to be all of one and none of another.
I was reading up on this and the most interesting aspect is medication abortions. You take 2 pills and it does the job. A large number of abortions are done this way these days and you can get them through the mail in a lot of states. Gonna be a whole new kinda drug running going on.
A lot of red states have already made it illegal which is why people are buying them from overseas. It's only a matter of time before red states start hauling pregnant women to jail (Texas almost prosecuted one), all of these laws have no exception for rape, incest some not even if the life of the mother is involved.

There's a different statue for lying to congress it's 5 years.
The funny thing to me about the abortion debate is the way anti-abortion conservatives tend to describe themselves. Pro-life. What does that mean? Well I assume it means they're in favor of people living.
Why then are they opposed to expanding healthcare? Why support wars? What kind of lunatic describes themselves as pro-life and supports the death penalty?
The fact that Supreme Court justices are able to successfully hide behind "strict constructionist" labels to hide that they're blatantly carrying water for a political party, rather than applying their actual views on it, is ridiculous. These morons are coming out and saying "it's not in the constitution verbatim, so we can't have it," conveniently only in support of policies the party that put them in power wants. Who is stupid enough to seriously consider that a document written in the 18th century is somehow relevant to today's society?
This body is using a document written before modern medical practices existed to effectively enforce policies on modern medical practices. How does that make any sense whatsoever?
Unpopular opinion from me. Let's go full bootstraps for the fetus. "Viable" as the line. Woman wants an abortion. Get the thing out. Right the fuck now. Oh, look, that lumpy potato at 7 weeks gestation is unable to survive. Guess it wasn't viable.
But we have all this tech to help them survive! That's very expensive, if the potato wants it bad enough, they'll find a way to survive. Pull up those bootstraps.
It's the state who gets to deal with it, since the parents didn't want it for whatever reason it's a ward of the state like a child removed from the parents. I mean, what greater standard of "unfit parent" is there than someone who, by their standard, was willing to kill it. Who wants to adopt a partially baked heterosexual fuck trophy?
If the woman wants to help the lump, then can. Whether it's NICU or a loan of a few million dollars.
Actually said "what the fuck?" out loud when I read this last night. Roe Vs Wade is well known here in the UK too.
The Handmaid's Tale was a warning, not a manifesto.
No, they're not, and no, it's not. Why echo a talking point used by people who don't actually give a shit about black people or women? Yes, I'm aware Margaret Sanger in the 20s blah blah. The reality is, if we wanted to reduce the number of abortions, we would address the racist and misogynist roots of poverty.![]()
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect. There is nothing more or else to it, and there never has been, in any place or time. --Frank Wilhoit
Is it too late to abort the conservative justices on the court? What are the abortion laws in D.C...
Yeah, but this decision is going to force a lot more women to seek some pills since driving out of state to get an abortion is a luxury for the financially secure. Getting pills from the guy who also has other shit is a lot more accessible.

It’s illegal to abort postpartum fetuses currently unless they’re convicted of specific crimes.
Thanks Clinton next time don't run such a shitty campaign.
My theory is that it was leaked by conservatives.
It's an election year. They need all the time they can for Americans to cool down after a widely unpopular decision. Even 2 months of extra time is better than nothing.
And so people will be angry. They'll protest. They'll walk out of work. And then the media cycle continues churning, and monetary needs pile up, and just like every other awful thing conservatives have done, it all blows over in ~6 months because people don't have the ability to keep the media focused or to maintain prolonged protests. Then they just accept that life gets shittier.
Just imagine being the religious extremist that sides with decisions like this. Go sign up for ISIS, guys, you have a lot in common.
