Who is the winner in this debacle? As usual, the answer is "Big Pharma."
People are buying "morning after" pills in bulk.
Online reproductive and sexual health provider Wisp saw a 3,000 percent surge in emergency contraception sales in the 24 hours after the ruling -- and they have kept rising in the month since, it told AFP.
Kelso & Juggernaut, two private equity firms that own both the brand name and generic Plan B pill, are raking in the money.
Also, if you own equity in Nurx, rejoice. It's valuation just jumped to 600m. Well on its way to Unicorn status.

So you really believe that women don't have self-ownership and only exist to serve as brood mares for men? That they can be freely enslaved as they are not really "persons" in any functional sense and the idea that they should be considered as such is just a silly "leftist" idea?
Because that's the pro-life position you're defending.
To be clear, that means you think it also applies to gay marriage, interracial marriage, ammunition, birth control, owning literally most any modern product, or using the internet... right?
After all, none of those things are specifically listed.
Hell, I guess states could ban literally all medical care...
I do rather enjoy Trumpsters embracing the purest forms of authoritarianism.
Someone's never talked to a pregnant woman like... EVER, I see. There's tons of adverse affects that pregnant women go through. We get it, you're a man who has no clue how reproduction works (as evidenced by your beliefs that fetuses are children). Perhaps you should speak with a woman who either is pregnant or was pregnant? You might learn a lot. As it is you just sound like some religious fanatic trying to push your BS into reality.
Edit: Actually, considering your posts, please never interact with women, pregnant or not. Please continue to be a keyboard warrior.

Michigan GOP governor candidate says abortion ban should include cases of rape, incest
On the political side i hope these primaries of GOP candidates sinks in to people think it's about controlling a person's body and nothing else.
The possible point here is the GOP declared they were not holding Presidential primary debates on any of the networks. So this question being raised and watching all the candidates raise their hand won't have impact.

"Buh dah DEMS"
Ah Michigan -- another state where Republicans are fine with rapists choosing the mother of their kids.

That's all states. If the stars and moon align, my state which is blue but has chances of going full Republican and having choice would no doubt be outlawed in that session.
More to my point is I hope voters in blue and purple states realize this. I feel for red states but they seem very much effed for the moment.

I like how the fuckwits in that comments section are convinced that the only reason Republicans voted against it was because there must be some nefarious language in the bill that the lying press is hiding. And the ones that aren't saying that are convinced that the House should be focusing on more important matters like [insert Republican talking point that they'll conveniently ignore the next time a member of the GOP is in the White House].
But as nice as it would be to be proven wrong, I just can't get excited that anything like this will pass the Sentate. The GOP has made it pretty clear that they have no intention of governing like decent people. That's even assuming Manchin and Sinema would deign to vote in favor of it.

Religious extremists need to fuck off. Just a reminder that, again, for Republicans/conservatives that it's all about controlling women and what they do with their bodies and has absolutely nothing to do with "protecting life".A pair of shoppers at a Walgreens in Wisconsin said an employee refused to sell condoms to them on religious grounds — something Walgreens said is permitted under its policies.
Nathan Pentz tweeted earlier this month that his partner, Jess, went to buy condoms at a store in Hayward because she forgot her birth control. He said when she went to the checkout, the cashier said he would not ring up the condoms, because of his faith.
Pentz also tweeted the couple's customer service response to Walgreens, which said the employee "embarrass[ed] [her] in front of other customers because of her reproductive choices."
In a statement to NBC News, a Walgreens spokesperson said its employee's actions did not violate company policy.
"Our policies are designed to ensure we meet the needs of our patients and customers while respecting the religious and moral beliefs of our team members," the spokesperson said. "The instances are rare, however when a team member has a moral or religious conviction about completing a transaction, they are required to refer the customer to another employee or manager on duty who will complete the transaction, which is what occurred in this instance."
Plus, if the GQP takes the White House (after they seize the House and Senate in 2022) we'll see a nation-wide abortion ban, upheld by the "state's right's only-when-it's-convenient" court.

And this is the tamest version of events we'll see going forward. Imagine a Walgreens Pharmacist who's "religion" forbids him from giving any medication to a woman.
I'd also like to add something that I haven't seen in this discussion: We all know Republicans have their eyes on contraceptives, and I'd fucking love to see them TRY to ban hormones and other contraceptives/cycle regulators. Why?
Because I'd love to see Republicans go up against the porn industry. And lose. You do NOT go after contraceptives without getting the biggest industry in the world shitting down your throat for it. The legal battle would be glorious.
Something for you to keep in mind, @Varx. I realize you think a conservatives would succeed in a ban against such things, but you're going to get absolutely rolled if you even try.

I'm still waiting on that lawsuit in FL about Jewish people having a religious right to abortions to be smacked down or tried elsewhere. they make a pretty convincing case that it seems the only religious freedoms they care about are Christian ones.
Interesting.
I wonder if there is actually a good chance for that to happen? Americans have, as far as I know, pretty good relations with the Jews. The very religious Americans at least. Something something end times, or whatever?
Also, Israel. I wonder how interested they are in this?
