No, they don't. They already own much of the news and have powerful backers that help them control the narrative. That's shown by the fact that the youth is more pro-Trump than 4 years ago. They are the ones of any age group the most online and both women and men voted more republican than in the last election.

They backed Trump because of the economic stuff because they don't know how stuff works. Which, as I mentioned, they will get and will be nothing but damaging.

But when it comes to the social stuff, Musk is largely being hated with many people having fled Twitter. I personally never used it to begin with minus people actually posting news to.

When I mention them having to outlaw the internet to get their social views to stick, I mean they would need to outlaw skype, WoW, Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy 14, virtually every message board and forum out there like this, Discord, IRC, and all that. But the main things that has gotten the newer generations to reject their social views is actually being exposed to those other groups and cultures which is a byproduct of our ability to travel more (Which they have economically limited) as well as telephones allowing us to contact others around the world, and more importantly, the social entertainment people have online.

These Taliban wannabe racists/evangelicals will have their social views rejected and their social laws largely ignored relatively quickly (Within a few years tops) of them being implemented. The cities will already largely reject them because of their access other races and cultures same as they already do. The rural generations are also already rejecting them due to the internet media I mentioned giving them social access to other races and cultures. They would have to ban the internet as a whole to get what they wanted and even then it would only work on the rural people as it would go back to confining them to their small circle of the world and denied access to other views.

But so long as there are MMORPGs, Online FPS, Forums and message boards, their views will continue to be rejected by newer generations. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram didn't soften the newer generations to these cultures/races much as people don't actually look for stuff that is new to them most of the time. Them socializing with them on games, forums, and messaging clients did. Having some country kid teamed up with some random urban kid or foreign kid and gloating how they fucked the other guys up does more to address those issues than places like Youtube typically will to those who aren't actively looking for that information, same as being in a guild running 25-40 man raids with all these people will when they actively talk in guild chat or voice chats between raids and even during them.

Them meeting and interacting with those cultures online did more to gain acceptance of them than hoping some random view crossing someones youtube feed that they likely ignored ever will.

THAT is what they would have to shut down the internet for if they wanted to try and get their views to be accepted.
