Because i still hope they get back to the light side of the force. There is still spacetime left. Even if we already have May the 5th.
Really, i would sacrifice a thousand bear asses at Hazzikostas shirine if he did a paradigm change to his game. And i would even sacrifice another 10000 if Blizzard would start to care more about gameplay and less about monetization nowadays.
While i am not sure if Ion is a religious guy.
Since you're such a rational and down-to-earth cow, explain to me, please, why should that every happen? And what are the chances of it ever happening? And what would have to happen for it to happen? Because I feel it's fascinating stuff. The Redemption of Notorious Cashgrabbers. Sounds like a second coming of Jesus.
But you literally said nobody ever said That this new mobile game looks cool. I can go out on social media and din plenty of people who have. SO, your claim is 100 false. This mentality is also just as bad as Star Wars fans who think that they own Sgar Wars and they are the sole arbiters of what it should be. You seriously need to seek help.

Except you didn't use any facts. Just what you think the game should be. Those are opinions.
Because blizzard loses another million WoW customers? And the devs finally discover it was their design?
Even while i doubt it i still hope for at least some rationality among the developers. So if all customers stopped playing WoW i hope it is the latest moment the devs come to a conclusion they did something wrong.
They should probably start to design their game for many and not for a few? mythic raiders cannot pay Ions high salary for a long time.
And even casual gamers want gameplay and do not want to end as whales. But something we old gamers call "fun". And they are quite many.
You at least sound like a religoius guy.
Thanks for medical advaice here LOLIMO This game is just crap. Blizz were always doin GOOD games not gold rush shits. I was a bit confused with diablo immortal as mobile game from blizzard. Now i think immortal is triple A with compare to this...

Im not forced ofc but this is my opinion about this game. ITS SHIT. The end.
It's very presumptuous to say it's shit when you have 0 experience with it. Only visual experience through their announcement and possible gameplay videos by ppl like Towellie.
Even if you do end up not liking it after you've experienced it yourself it's fine for you to say that this game isn't for you, but I highly doubt you'd be in the right position to say that game is factually "shit".
I mean you could at least have properly read my post before responding. I listed things you didnt post any evidence for, i didnt say greg street was the one saying they hired guilds.
Also you didnt quote him, that would require you to actually mention where he says it, which he didnt.
So once again - you have not provided any evidence for any of these:
the greg street quote
how blizzard hired guilds
any evidence on blizzards nefarious business practises towards kids
All of these are conspiracy theories because you have 0 proof for any of them.

surprising that at your age you still have the same biases as teenagers. you either lived a lucky or a difficult life. anyway, those who cause evil don't need to be a majority to make the world dangerous and unfair. the world we live in. also it's unwise to trust people too easily. even friends could betray you.
Look, cantrip isn't wrong. Modern game designers literally study player psychology in order to manipulate the ways their audience engages with and spends on their games. It's beyond just "making fun games," it's at the level where they're conditioning responses and deliberately dishing out endorphins at precise intervals. This is especially true with mobile gaming.
The vast majority of people are able to manage their gaming hobbies, but there are always going to be susceptible people who have addictive personalities or poor impulse control. There are tons of stories about people with literal cognitive disabilities pouring tens of thousands of dollars into lootboxes; not all whales are Saudi princes, influencers, etc. with money to burn.
And they absolutely do target children. Yes, yes, parental responsibility, parental controls, etc. Sure. Some kids are always going to slip through the cracks and fall victim. What's worse, to me, is that kids are being conditioned to think that this stuff is normal. A lot of European countries have passed laws to protect minors from gambling and predatory monetization in games and that's a good thing for everyone.
It's frankly sad that so many people are not only okay with companies preying on vulnerable people, but seem to outright endorse it. Like, they've literally got teams researching the best ways to break people down psychologically until they are compelled to make a purchase. It's fucked up.
All that aside, apparently right now the game is actually free from most if not all of the typical mobile monetization schemes, so that's a good start. Not sure if that'll remain the case when it goes live.
From my perspective the game is designed for a very young / child audience...
No thanks.
