As to another point, stealth in this setting very clearly means invisible, because we get confirmation, multiple cinematics, that stealth actually isnt just a metaphorical thing but a literal form of magic, as we see in BFA and in Shadowlands.

Honestly I find it odd people try to ignore 20+ years of game lore that actually has at least refferences and actual history assosiated with it to defend an argument that "tall monster cant be sneaky."

This game literally has an entire lore around us using magic to drag a planet to Azeroth so we can beat the crap out of its soul, and people really wanna call sneaky taurens unlikely?
In game stealth and invisibility are different things detect stealth and detect invisible are not mutually exclusive. Warlocks detect invisible had no effect to rogues stealth. A Rogue could stand next to an invisible mage and a warlock could not detect the rogue if the rogue is not in the stealth detection range.

Give them some chonky yarn slippers, the kind your grandma used to knit for you. Problem solved.

But yeah, hooves and stealth don't go well together. I would seriously respect Blizzard if they took stealth away from hoofed races.

You do know that hooves aren't loud right? The sound people associate with hooves are the metal shoes we put on horses it's not the hooves themselves making the sound.

Especially since we know that sound from horseshoes hitting paved roads - neither of which is a particularly likely occurrence here.

Stealth isnt about just being quiet. Its about not drawing undue attention to yourself.

You can hide in plain sight dressed in head to white on a dark night that is lit by moonlight (meaning your white clothes basically glow).

    Ive done it.

The eye sees movement first, then color, then maybe it comes down to your hearing. And only if the noise they are making is somehow out of place or they are being SUPER observant and listening for EVERYTHING.

Also, Rogues use magic to aid their stealth. So there's that.

Even in-game this criticism makes no sense. When Tauren and Draenei are running around, I don't hear CLOP-CLOP-CLOP, do you?

This is more a case of a forum meme capturing a human mind than any critical reasoning.

Its a dumb argument in a game where you can carry 1000's of pounds in your bag, elephants can jump, giants and gnomes and everyone in between can wear the same gear, animals drop money on death, etc, etc, etc.

    Horde

While I actually like some class/race not being a viable option, I came to piece with general public wanting tauren rogues. That said, nothing has been laughed at, memed at like tauren rogue. This already clearly showcases why it is a bit ridiculous to have a class that's supposed to be a quiet, evasive, agile assassin be represented by Warcrafts version of Minotaur.
While arguements are mostly stealth is magic, and hoofs are not actually that loud, we had satyrs and so on, this does not break the fact that taurens are massive, their weight is mostly in their upper body, they have a spine that's harshly bent in the c-spine leading to heavy, horned head, and that would all make them very strong, but not really agile. not at all.
Now this is a fantasy world and I can understand people wanted what they wanted, and it's fine, does not really matter, but just talking about it from perspective of it making a sense, there's no clear arguement even with grimtotem already being present for ages and so on. fuck lore, it just feels wrong, they feel clumsy and non rogueish, if that fat bastard used evasion, he'd maybe avoid the axe coming to his head, but he'd paralyze himself neck to hoofs.

But devs have been under pressure by the succes of ffxiv, and the failure of shadowlands, so bleeding playerbase had to get shit they want so that the game can even remain relevant. We see that all over the place, not just with tauren rogues, they've never been as responsive, they're clearly trying to meet every expectation, even with some of them being ridiculous. and so be it. still a fan of this game, always want it to do good, and if this helps it even a slightest to retain players and go strong into dragonflight, I'm down to it.

Indeed except, the Blood Elves were weak, and just sent them away, the Zandalari tends to kill the ones dealing with blood magic or send them to Nazmir to die.

First, a rogue doesn't need per se to stealth. Of course, it is part of the mechanic.
But if you take a look at the hunter... well, a hunter stalks prey and if we would view it from a realistic angle, they would sneak around too. But tauren hunters are okay? If a tauren hunter can camoflage and become undetectable, why can't a tauren rogue?
