At Fox News the racism is the point.

People with issues have a bit of too easy access to guns in USA. They can not seem to grasp the fact that this is a problem.

Is it so hard to perform a mandatory check by a psychiatrist to establish violent/psychotic behaviour or not before issuing weapons of mass murder to lunatics?

Obviously it's not full proof, but a lot of shootings could be prevented.

That kind of venemous hate is entirely separate; a character failing that runs deep and wouldn't be corrected if they got psychiatric care, nor if they were offered information to educate them out of their ignorance.

Every time people use either for an excuse, it's an attempt to hand-wave some measure of the offender's personal responsibility for their actions, and it's gotta stop. These assholes aren't mentally ill, and they're not acting out of ignorance. I've known poorly-educated people with schizophrenia who were lovely, and the worst they got was terrified if their symptoms were getting the better of them, not violent.

This guy, and those who do similar acts, are evil. They are awful, hateful, violent people, and they're the only ones responsible for their choices.
I'm not going to blame this guy's actions on mental illness because I hardly know anything about him. But I think it's unreasonable to reject any notion that the actions of people like this could in part be a consequence of mental illness. Mental illness still has a stigma, particularly schizophrenia and depression, and perhaps people get defensive about that and/or wish to downplay any association between the illness and violence, or perhaps they are fed up with seeing bad faith actors or sympathisers play the mental health card to minimise the perpetrator's responsibility. A quick search reveals that schizophrenics are more likely to commit violence, although it seems a complex issue and there are conflicting studies.

Until a psych eval is conducted and the results published we have very little to go on regarding a perpetrator's mental health other than what we can assume from their actions. All of this is said in full recognition of the fact that the world is filled with Ted Bundys and wannabe Hitlers who do what they do because they enjoy it or because they believe they have a righteous mission to complete.

I don't understand, we've done absolutely nothing and it keeps happening.

Thoughts and prayers, who knew this could happen, he's just anxious about the economy, it's just mental illness, BLM and atifa did it/are worse.

Think I covered all the potential excuses or did I miss a couple?

You missed Lone Wolf. Even if it's a group. 3 or 4 Lone Wolves.
    Like the group in Airheads.

Also you missed the Thoughts and Prayers app commercial.

Right, right, lone wolf is another classic.

They're going with the mental illness defense this time around however it seems. As if being mentally ill/deficient by itself made you dangerous and overly easy access to gun and news network broadcasting racism and insane conspiracies 24/7 had nothing to do with a mentally ill person picking up a gun and shooting people in the name of said racist conspiracy.

It's an easier play since Fucker Whoreson's court ruling.
Any reasonable person would know those weren't true.
So he had to be an unreasonable person to believe Fucker's oral bowel movement.
    Mental illness is the culprit!
Now is not the right time to discuss guns after such a avoidable, preventable tragedy...says the only country where it happens regularly.
If it happened in the rest of the world, it would be a horrible day of gun violence and death. To the US, it was Saturday.

Since nothing will be done about this, can we at least have a law saying the constituent of any politician that says some version of "We're not like this" or "This isn't America" is allowed to backhand them at their next townhall?

THIS SHIT IS, HAS BEEN and likely will continue to be America, and as Shady hook showed (cause if abunch of white kids being killed by someone actually mentally ill didn't get them to do something about gun, they wont do shit to stop some bigots killing black people), and Fox trying to claim the Mother Emanuel church was an attack on Christians to avoid the shooter killed them cause they were'nt white, not cause they were Christian.

This country has a plurality that is likely not only fine with this, but Ill go as far to say, wants it, but wants also to see themselves as "good" people so they just stand aside, cheer the rhetoric that convinces the worst of them do the killing for them.

"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.

Not to mention the fact, that the scope of preparing action of the crime, and the writing of the manifesto, and live streaming are indicators of the suspect being criminally sane.

If you want gun control liberals LGBTQ and racial minorities need to start buying guns in mass and openly. Guarantee that will scare the right wing into doing something.

You mean like the law signed by Saint Ronald of Reagan in California?

This dude literally had a checklist longer than my arm of what he needed to do this shooting, which included getting fresh batteries for his go pro and other gear, and a dry run test of his mobile streaming equipment. And then the powerful elite who did the indoctrinating, in this case, will wash their hands of it, while we start wars against the other indoctrinators.
