I'm more disturbed that there would be any question. There is nothing in that social contract that is particularly problematic.

It basically says don't be a jack***. That isn't hard at all. The vast majority of games include that in their ToS. The only real change in WoW would be if Blizz were to start enforcing it more often.

Just because they are spelling out a particular aspect of being a jack*** doesn't mean it wasn't always wrong.

    Time to grow up.

The insult is the implication that most of it is performative and/or taken to such extremes that it becomes dysfunctional and a caricature of itself.

lmfao the victim complex from you cry babies is just so god damned hilarious to me.

"see!? I haven't even said anything yet and I can already tell I'm about to be dragged out of my house kicking and screaming and put into the stocks in the town square for all the blue haired SJWS to jeer and throw tomatoes at me!"
really curious what the one magic word you're referring to is.

Literally no different to people already skipping the Terms and Conditions when they agree to playing whatever. Ignorance is not an excuse for them though when they break any new rules added.

Here in EU is not so spread than USA, but the way I see it is like "political correctness up to 11", with things like, e.g., round tables discusing that shamanism is at the same level of "western science", but racism doesn't let us see it.

I mean, if you really care about social justice, your first step should be trying understanding the people that disagree with you. They are behaving a lot better than you are this far, you've made 2 posts, in the first one you said

OT: I don't mind the social contract, I rarely if ever have negative social interactions in game.

From someone that has looked into this stuff a bit from multiple angles, the term Woke is an insult because it is seen as a false or partial awakening, and because the issues of racial justice and social justice are generally either incoherent or deplorable.

From the Buddhists, awakening is beginning to see that all things are connected and therefore that we are all part of the same life force in some manner. Western culture has taken up the term intersectionality to mean something similar to the Buddhist awakening or Satori. The issue is that if you are in the Buddhist tradition and go through Satori, they tell you to keep going. This is probably summed up by the saying "The novice sees trees as trees and mountains as mountains. The adept begins to see that these edges are all blurred and that the mountain, the trees, the valleys are all part of the same thing with no defined edges. The master once again sees the trees as trees, and the mountains as mountains."

If you've heard of revolving door politics, where you keep focusing on ideas and dreams and never actually go through to implementation, that is wokeness. It's like continuing to knock on the door long after the person has opened it to let you in.

More on topic, I'll accept it to start. If it starts getting absurd and people start getting banned for merely linking damage meters because some shitter is mad they are shown on the bottom... I'll find another game.

Edit, if you read the definition you found closely, it actually indicates exactly what I said but in fewer words. It's people who become obsessed with issues instead of solutions.

we're talking about people's behavior while playing video games, what are you babbling about social justice for?

Then you follow that up by throwing slurs around
oooh I get it, you don't understand what words in the English language mean.

here's a hint: there is a difference between insults and slurs.

Such a small thing. You pretty much agreed to it all in lawyer talk in the EULA already. Now it just kinda puts it in more normal people terms. Do I think it is going to do a whole hell of a lot? No, because rules are only as far as you are willing to enforce them and we know the bot patrol and report counting bots arent going to be effective in policing this. The reason the game went toxic was because at first they ignored all but the greatest offenses, then they checked out nearly completely, then they put it in the hand of bots... and then finally.. about once a quarter.. decide to look at things that are logged from the bots and determine if its actually of any importance.

You mistake 'victim complex' for pity. I pity anyone who can only think linear and is no longer capable of seeing any side other than their own smallminded one.

Maybe you should talk to your therapist about this because it's not healthy to live in hatred of everyone who does not live up to your skewed standards .

unless Elon musk buys WoW im never going to be playing it again
10 reports = instant ban without GM review (people need to be in different guilds or you will need more reports)
you can organize a 11th person in your discord to provoke the person you want banned then report for literary no real reason... anything that can be considered "toxic" is a valid reason for the ban to stay on the account and will not be removed

Coming from the side of diversity and tolerance. Then you wonder why people call you out for being bigoted.

Edit: It's unendingly amusing to me how the side of tolerance and acceptance are the people who want to ban people from the game. I've never heard of an elitist jerk actually wanting other people to quit playing, they just don't want to play with the shitters. Maybe you can take a page from their book and just make use of the block function supplied to you to curate the kind of people you want to play with. Just a thought.

I don’t have any difficulties not being toxic in a video game or any other place…

Anyone having issues with that should really take a deep look in the mirror.

I'm sorry if you think I'm the least bit interested or obligated with dealing with people who want to make MY leisure time worse because they can't stop being obtuse assholes while playing a video game.

the speed at which you people make yourselves into victims over.... nothing, speaks volumes.

like, all we're asking here is be a decent person, and the reaction is always: "THIS IS TAKING MY FREEZE PEACH AWAY!"

There is a woke right. It's called "red-pilled" (from the movie Matrix, where Neo awakens from the Matrix after taking the red pill), which basically is the same thing.
On the left side you have the things like society supression of free will, the rule of the patriarchy, etc.
On the right side you have things like chemtrails/vaccines/5G suppressing free will, secret world government, etc.

It's pretty much the same concept: Elevating your group over the others by demeaning their opinions coming from a state of either mind control or internalized societal rules. Pretty much anyone who is against you just doesn't know the real truth and thus can't form a "real" opinion.
On both sides the "elites" are the bad guys and the current order has to be eradicated to establish something new.

OT: Of course I'll press accept. It's like the EULA or TOS: I won't read it and won't need to because I won't violate it either way.
And if I should be banned for violating it, because I did not read it then I'll just quit. But I won't since I know how not to be an asshole online.

okay dude, you try and convince a person out in the real world that being called a "cry baby" is the same as being called the "n word" and see how hard you get laughed at.
