Kil'Jaeden is dead! With the completion of the final Burning Crusade Raid Tier, Sunwell Plateau, many eyes are now turning to the officially announced classic expansion for Wrath of the Lich King, likely releasing in the fall or winter of 2022. This is an ideal time to come back to Classic WoW if you've stepped away or to join the community for the first time in preparation for the game's most popular (and most enduring) era. With the myriad of new endgame catch-up mechanics and the convenience of TBC experience buffs to the leveling experience, making a new character or catching up an existing one has never been easier. Leveling from 1 to 60 takes around eighty to one hundred hours now and gearing up with full Merciless PvP gear from honor takes a couple of weekends. If nostalgia or adventure calls you to Northrend, <Player Vs. Pillar> might be the home for you.

Summary - <Player Vs Pillar> is an ambitious project to create a large and active community of invested PvPers interested in World PvP, Premade Battlegrounds and Rated Arenas in anticipation of Wrath of the Lich King Classic. We have a dedicated and experienced group of founding officers that are looking to recruit like-minded and PvP-focused players to engage in Wrath prep together.

Grobbulus is one of the most active North American realms and the ONLY PvP realm with a balanced Horde / Alliance faction ratio. It is likely the last vestige of World PvP that exists in the region and is the ideal home for our community. Furthermore, with the addition of Every Man For Himself and changes to the functionality of Shadowmeld (in-combat vanish finally!), Alliance are widely considered the dominant PvP faction for Wrath of the Lich King.

Although most scheduled guild events will be PvP related (Premade BG nights, dueling tournaments, World PvP raids) we will also have an optional raid night for those interested in acquiring the PvE gear that so often has great impact in PvP. With the addition of 10man raid modes, this will be easily achievable for us, with even 25man raiding becoming an option if we have enough interested players.

Keeping in mind that many players have a level 58 boost they would like to use, or even a level 70 character they would like to transfer in, we would like to make clear that both of those options are very welcomed, even encouraged. We will, however, be launching the guild with some leveling caps in an effort to keep the community active and dissuade people from feeling "left behind".

Our tentative official launch schedule will be:

Guild Creation And Recruitment Begins - Tuesday May 24th
Level 20 Character Cap until Tuesday June 7th (Allowing a healthy two week recruitment period)
Level 40 Character Cap until Tuesday June 14th
Level 58 Boosts Allowed - Tuesday June 14th
Level 60 Character Cap until - Tuesday June 28th
Level 70 Character Transfers Allowed - Tuesday July 5th

We would encourage leveling players to take advantage of these leveling caps to stop at 19, 39 and 59 respectively to farm some honor and battleground marks in preparation for level 70. Or work on professions. Or ceaselessly gank leveling Horde. The possibilities are endless!
