I'm kind of surprised, the only cinematic I couldn't stand was the Calia one. I really expected Blizz to fumble all three of these. The one about the new seed is actually pretty good, I think it's a good step forward for the Night Elves and their story.

The Anduin one is the most mixed for me though, because in a vacuum (or if we pretend that SL wasn't the narrative catastrophe it really was), it's really cool to see Anduin starting to mature and grapple with more human things instead of being the beacon of pure morality. Not that I'm complaining about his previous roles, I do think it was good to see that character in contrast to Varian or even Genn. But now it's time for that hard soul searching that everyone has to do as they mature and become an adult.

I think now is when we really feel the full weight of the failings of SL. These three capstones could be the perfect note to end the SL expansion on, you know the expansion where you travel to the afterlife. The problem is, the entire journey from Pre-patch of BfA to now has just been a wreck and nothing is going to stick like it should be. So now I'm feeling like, okay, cool, except there's nothing in the SL story to give any weight to these events.

What a damn shame SL has been, it had so much potential but just completely failed. I hope DI will be the step forward into a much better situation for WoW. It sorely needs it.

No, her second model is more than far from calia, completely and 100% different, not even the shad eof white is right.
At this point you are just bait and people are biting non stop.

You make no sense and even contradict yourself in every post lol. Undead have several different skin tones, hair styles/colors, and flesh "fresh" states. There is no such thing as the right "shade of white".
And whether you like it or not, she is the rightful heir of the Lordaeron throne, the forsaken are basically a bunch of Lordaeron corpses so it makes a lot of sense. The one leader that was with them since the beginning and suffered the same thing as them kind of betrayed them all and was sent to hell, so who knows what is it that you want.

Once again, Blizzard has massively improved the quality of their in-game cutscenes.

And I don't mean in-game cinematics, like the end-of-zone-story ones in WoD (like Thrall killing Garrosh, Yrel + Durotan getting whipped by Blackhand)... but using the actual in-game models.

Everything from camera angles, accurate mouth moving to words being said, even certain emphasizing on lighting and whatnot. I still remember the in-game cutscenes from the WoD "escape scenario" and just musing on how silly some of them were.

10/10 here. Regardless of story direction.

WoW lore in 2022 goes LAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWL

I don't know what it is about Sylvannas's voice but I fucking hate it. They never should of changed it from WC3

If you can see the difference between a proper forsaken like voss, compared to a pale white human, that look like a lighforged draenei is not me who is "baiting".

Talking about missing the point completely.

We are not talking about what colors undeads usually have, he was comparing sylvanas blood elf model prior her updated one with Calia, saying they don't look much different, when they are 100% different.
And whether you like it or not, she is the rightful heir of the Lordaeron throne,
Lordaeron is gone, there is no "rightful heir", there is no lordaeron people anymore, there are forsaken

This is their identity that blizzard want to fuck over with this lighforged woman pretending to be their leader. There is way better characters to use for a leader and im not even counting voss

If she, at least, had the same stigma, by being a rotting zombie, seeing as a monstrosity to other humans like normal forsakens are, then i would give her the benefit of doubt.

The one leader that was with them since the beginning and suffered the same thing as them kind of betrayed them all and was sent to hell, so who knows what is it that you want.
~Who is this? cause sure as well it was not calia

She didn't suffer the same, she was not murdered by the scourge, she was not raised as a puppet monster with death magic, she was not then free and found herself in a complete distorted state of mind by having a soul attached to her body wrongly, she is not decaying or rotting, she was not shun away by her family and living friends,

She is just not one of then, at all, but they want to force her there because her name , thats it, lame and lazy.

I liked it this cinematic. Was way more mellow than usual. That filter they put over the normal voice reminded me of violin strings in her voice or something like that. It has nothing to do with the voice actress either, since we heard her voice in the last patch as pre-banshee Sylvanas and she sounded really nice.

What annoys me is that i want to see these scenes in-game, but i don't even know how. All i found was the forsaken quest with Calia, which i finished but i didn't get the cut-scene depicted here.

only horde get the final cutscene as only they follow calia and lilian inside, this is horde only like past cinematics have been horde or alliance only.

Yea! That's why all real men also watch gay porn, because it doesn't have women in them! /s

I think that's a misinterpretation: it's not about the characters being male or female, it's the writing and how things are presented. These cutscenes really do play out like soap operas on TV, down from the choice of words and topics to the way the shots are done (if we're being kind, I'll go so far as saying they only go to sitcom level). Basically, soap operas tend to heavily target female audiences with heavy on-the-nose drama, which is the root of the comment to which you are referring.

All in all, they could've been worse. Could've been a lot better, especially the Tyrande one (there's mechanical questions to be had). I've reached the apathetic stage a while ago with the WoW story, so I'm probably being kind here.

“It's not an endlessly expanding list of rights — the 'right' to education, the 'right' to health care, the 'right' to food and housing. That's not freedom, that's dependency. Those aren't rights, those are the rations of slavery — hay and a barn for human cattle.”

I'm not surprised I misinterpreted, because it made no sense to me, and still doesn't.

The writing is so bad... And i would rather gauge my eyes out than to ever see Sylvanas again. Im so sick if the homonculus they put in her place since BFA.

Someone said WoW is like a soap opera... Yea, it... kind of feels like it and it is...

I think they try to pull off what FF14 does. This is not like "WOW IS JUST STEALING". That in itself is not wrong. A lot of people enjoy the tear-jerking and thats 100% okay. And if it was like that that would be okay to me too... but wow does it so bad, because they once again try to get the effect without putting the work in to warrant it. FF14 can be an Expansion of crying because they spend 6+ years before to build up to it. WoW is just. "HERE BE SAD NOW. LUL."

No? she is not gray purpplish with red eyes and the books don't describe her rotting? unlike ehr high elven model? humm, must be another game.
Maybe because as undead Calia was created in a different way? this Don't make Calia less of an undead

Nice bllshit. Back then there wasn't other Undead factions as outside the forsaken they were all more or less controlled by the lich king.

*Anduin info dumps his trauma, to someone with trauma*
*Also Anduin* "Glad I got that out of my system, K Bye."

Thats not healthy to just do that to people, even IF they have a similar issue..... For Thralls sake Anduin, I get seeking validation from someone who's been there. but dont just leave after you said YOUR part.

Sylvanas had a whole book to go over her part she goes over literally every bit of trauma she ever had in her life while he was her prisoner.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

Ugh...can't stand the dramatic cry-talking. I don't know if they figure that if they talk like normal people it just won't sell the point. /shrug. I know for plays they have to oversell the acting because some of the audience is so far away. Feels like they took this training and brought it to close up tv/movie acting where it's not necessary. I dunno. Just my whining. It's one of my pet peeves when it comes to acting.

Now you are seeing how this get less and less sense? she is literally created different, she is totally different kind of undead, is like wanting a void elf to be the leader of the night elves, completely obnoxious.

There is no bullshit, is the lore, feel free to be wrong about it.

You know what we need more of..... More female lore characters!
And turn Thrall and Anduin in transgenders.....

Only Horde get the one with Calia and Voss. The Anduin and Sylvanas one is triggered by the owl at the jump off point for the Maw in Oribos, and the Night Elf one is a quest from a Fae in Oribos.

Apples and oranges. Void Elves and Night Elves are 2 different races. Calia was Human as were all of the Forsaken, except for Sylvanas. Therefore, the Forsaken have always had a leader who was not only raised up differently than them, but not even of the same original race. Calia is not the sole leader, she is a voice in a Council, and she deserves it.
