shaman effects transmog

Hello guys, I would like to make an elemental shaman transmog and the pieces to have as many wind and lightning effects as possible, any help with any piece would be much appreciated. I would also like to start grinding for them on my high level hunter for now.

what do you mean normal transmog rules? what should I watch out for? I did Blackrock foundry on my hunter (level 47) last evening unfortunately the blue mace did not drop, I was on 10 man HC, but another one dropped.

If it complies to transmog rules it will work. So, have a 1H and a shield, you can use it. Have items from artifact appearance, you can use it in that spec regardless.

Well you specifically mentioned blue mace but unfortunately weapon restrictions are in fact one of the reasons why farming transmog for shamans on a hunter and vice versa isn't the best of ideas.

As hunters can wield neither maces nor shields, they're also unable to unlock them for transmog purposes. In much the same way, shamans are unable to unlock any ranged weapons nor polearms.

The other of course being the inability to acquire actual tier pieces, with only off pieces being available.

That's especially true in BRF where tier pieces still drop which is by far the easiest way to unlock a full set of transmog gear. You just have a 1/3 of getting the right class token over 1/12 of getting the right class piece altogether in Legion content.

As for what the transmog rules are, you can transmog any 1h sword, axe, mace, fist weapon or warglaive into one another if your class is able to wield that weapon class.

But if your elemental shaman is wearing, say, a staff, you would only be able to transmog that staff into other 2h weapons like another staff, a 2h mace or a 2h axe. You would not be able to transmog it into a 1h mace + shield combo.

For that you'd need to actually be wearing a 1h and shield. And you can only transmog daggers into other daggers, so be careful with caster daggers as well.

You need to be able to equip it to unlock the transmog. As hunters cannot equip maces, the appearance was not unlocked.
