I'm a bit concerned about the lack of information about solo-endgame content.

All in all, this announcement was probably one of the most conservative one. While i personally think it is good that blizzard don't use all their cards even in the last patch they have added, but really, there was far too little content. Beside of Dragonriding and maybe content they added to it, there is nothing about what endgame-content they will add with Dragonflight. What i'm afraid off is that they simply add the most basic content: Crappy World quests and time locked "Convenant"-quests, and that's all they add. Because beside of this, nothing was announced.

While i personally wasn't a fan of island expeditions, Torghast was actually not bad in the idea. The issue of torghast was not itself, but both the lack and the owerwhelming ties to player power and no meaningful gear progression actually killed it. Nobody wants to play a game where you can't progress inside Torgast itself, but instead need to play somthing else to get better gear to progress there.

But Dragonflight has absolutely nothing yet. Maybe my concerns are unnecessary, but i don't expect anything like Torghast, Mage Tower, Island Expeditions at all, since if they had something up in their sleeve, the yould have announced it.

Probably a bit early to be complaining about an expansion that's not out yet.

In addition, WoW is an MMO. They generally focus on multi-player content.
    Dropahammer - Paladin
    Dropakeg-Thrall - BrM Monk
    Dropagrip-Thrall - Blood DK

MMO means Massive Multiplayer Online. It just means that there a a lot of folks online at the same time in a persistent world.

What you choose to do while online is up to the individual.

It is a bit early and not much is known about the details of the expansion, but I bet there will be the same WQ and Dailys for faction and loot that will not be as good as raiding.

Yikes, imagine wanting something similar to Island Expeditions to make a return.

Yeah no, that's your very personal wishful thinking. MMO are meant to be played with other people, full stop.

Sure you can do some activities alone, but that will just never be the main point of an MMO. Just play the hundreds of thousand solo games out there.

Your post is at the same level as someone "being afraid they don't see any bowling mode in the next FIFA". You're just not playing the right game for your, period.

    I hope there's none.
There should be single player content in an MMO, but it shouldn't be about the endgame.

I think they don't invest in the group you belong to. Nobody serious plays WoW for solo content, these people are usally Stream rollers and gone after 1month of release. So they give a bit, but never making it a big deal(kinda like a bait for you to do other activities).

If they actually had a market for it(and yes - they have the data) - they would had implemented it, without you asking for it.

Yeah - it doesn't say Massive Soloplay Online. Next.

I've been playing WoW since Vanilla Beta, I have spent by far the majority of my time in game playing alone, and there's nothing wrong with that. I deal with people in my job and personal life all of the time, I play video games to be alone. I love being in a world with other players and randomly interacting here and there in the game, but I absolutely do not want to have to speak aloud or listen to other people speak to me while I'm playing a game. The vast majority of Multiplayer games, also function just as well solo, as they should. Being a multiplayer game implies the ability to play multiplayer, not the requirement.

Out of all the info I've seen so far, this interview with WellPlayed maybe gives the most insight into how they might be handling solo/world content. Evidently, world content was previously handled by the quest team at large, but now for Dragonflight they have an additional team that's solely dedicated to making that kind of content. Dragonriding races and hunting expeditions were mentioned as examples of content being handled by the new team.

Naturally the interview didn't include any details about the rewards or the scope of those features, but it's probably the most concrete answer to the solo-content question that I've seen so far.

WoW is the one lacking, and trust me, that's a bad thing.

SP content is for the casual cyclical masses that just want to eat it up like a plague of locusts I couldn't care less about simply because they have so many alternatives.

Why some idiots choose to play an mmo when they're extremely introverted or socially incompetent is something I'll never understand, other games put ALL their ressources in to be a great SP experience and you choose an mmorpg? Excuse me but wtf?

"Oh yes in the history of WoW the SP-able content was so great dude" will be your next argument but cmon who the frick really believes that.

Well, yeah, as i wrote in different threads, solo players get a downgrade with Dragonflight. No gameplay like Torghast, Islands or Warfronts. And Mage Tower was gameplay for a few only, as it only had challenging gameplay, and no progression, well, and no gear rewards.

Only because blizzard removes borrowed power systems, they should not remove gameplay which rewarded it. Quite contrary, they should add gameplay for solo players and simply add gear as rewards, even in progression from a Torghast like difficulty system.

But the devs are too blind to see what their players want. So it is very unlikely they will add anything comparable. As their main reason for removing different borrowed power systems was the effort they had to invest into game systems which created it, and not the idea players did not like those additional reward systems.

And that new crafting system simply is a joke, as there still will be raid-only mats and mythic+-only mats. And as it is more about crafting orders and using token gold to buy epics from raid crafters. Just another new Whale hunting ground from Blizzard.

mage tower is only amazing for those who slightly struggle at it. Everyone else its either 1 and done (for each spec) or they will never complete it.

Mage tower is the exception to the rule.

As far as I understand it, crafting order allow any player, raider or not, to craft gear for raiders who deliver the mats via the order. So you don't need to run endgame PvE content to become proficient. The raiders will buy from you, not the other way around.

Yes, and that is my point. Rather than you having to play your content to craft items, you simply give gold to a raider to craft them for you. Which is literally another way to make money from tokens for blizzard. Once again it is all about Bobbys profit.

A simple solution would be to be able to upgrade world crafting ingredients into higher level ingredients. As like 10,000 small gnome hides into 1 big gnome hide. But as blizzard wants to make money with their new shiny crafting order system, that is not going to happen. And boosting services will turn into crafting services.

no content will be good for everyone, I think the majority like it and it was very well received.

But that would only make a difference if your crafting skill would level the same way it does now. So only the ones with high level mats you could get high level skills. But we don't really know how that is done yet.
With our current level of information, anyone with the sufficient profession level can profit from raiders. The question is how do you get a sufficient profession level. If it's the same way as with SL runecarving items, then I agree. But maybe Blizzard learned, that this was not the right way to do it. At least they admitted, that the SL system was suboptimal.

I long lost any hope blizzard does any good to the game. So no, i expect them to turn this into another cash grab.
