So what I’m trying to figure out is, why the fuck is my main wow account ineligible, but some stupid free one that I don’t even recall ever setting up is? I haven’t had an active sub for over a year, so yeah…kind of frustrating since I’d really like the free 30 days and being able to faction change a toon.

I think that link was for the standard recruit a friend, the promo seems to be a link from an email that lets you send a gift directly to the account.

Also not sure what was going on with Blizzard's servers yesterday but getting a code from their sms authenticator took about 8 hours.
