Overwatch Creator Experimental Card and Creator Cup
The Experimental Card enables the Overwatch team to test out changes that are outside the scheduled patch cycle. This gives us a lot of creative freedom while not having to worry about completely shocking the retail game. We thought it would be a brilliant idea to extend that same creative freedom directly to our content creators and community.
What an interesting hypothesis.
Everyone is invited to check out our newest Creator Experimental Card beginning November 30, 2021, featuring over-the-top balance ideas coming directly from Overwatch content creators. Each of the following creators will submit wild, whimsical and, dare we say, wacky changes for any of the heroes within their role:
- Violet—Support
- Flats—Tank
- Somjuu—DPS
We are also teaming up with these creators to bring you a new competitive community tournament: Overwatch Flash Ops: Experimental Card Creator Cup. The Creator Cup will be played on this special version of the Creator Experimental Card. All maps will be playable in the tournament except for Paris, and the format will be 9 rounds of single elimination.
Anyone can read the rules or sign-up on the Overwatch Flash Ops: Experimental Card Creator Cup page. Join other competitors in your region to compete for Experimental glory (and a modest cash prize):

Sign-ups will start on November 29, and they will close on December 9 at 9:00am PST. The tournament schedule will be:

- Dev 12 (1:00pm-3:00pm PST)
You can find the notes for the Creator Experimental Card when the patch goes live. The balance changes we see in this update are not going to be implemented into the retail version of the game. However, make sure to jump into the game mode as soon as possible to train for the Creator Cup!

Creator Experimental Update
In this limited-edition Experimental Card, we will feature over-the-top balance changes coming directly from Overwatch content creators. Each creator will submit changes for any of the heroes within their role. Here are the first Creator Experimental Card participants responsible for each of the role changes:

D.VaDefense Matrix
- Pilot D.Va quick melee damage increased from 30 to 100
Boosters
- Size increased by 10%
Eject!
- Duration increased from 2 to 4 seconds
- Speed increased by 25%
- Ejecting out of the mech now ejects you at 15 meters per second up, and 10 meters per second in the direction you are holding
OrisaProtective Barrier
- Health changed from 200 health and 250 armor, to 1 health and 399 armor
- Now wears a Christmas hat
Fusion Driver
- Health reduced from 600 to 300
- Cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds
Fortify
- No longer slowed while firing
Halt
- Duration increased from 4 to 6 seconds
- Can now be headshot while using Fortify
- Cooldown reduced from 6 to 4 seconds
ReinhardtBarrier Field
- Armor health increased from 200 to 225 (total health 525 now)
Fire Strike
- Health increased from 1600 to 2000
Earthshatter
- Damage reduced from 100 to 80
- Now has 2 charges
- Projectile speed increased by 100%
Steadfast
- Knockdown duration increased from 2.5 to 3 seconds
- Now deals 400 damage in a 1.5m radius around the impact point (where the hammer hits the ground)
- Blocking an enemy Earthshatter now plays the voice line “You shame yourself”
- Blocking an enemy Earthshatter now shows up in the kill feed (using Rein’s shield icon)
Charge
- Knockback resistance increased from 30% to 40%
- Can now be ended early by pressing the Charge key a second time
RoadhogChain Hook
- Maximum health reduced from 600 to 500
- Scrap Cannon pellet damage reduced from 6.6 to 5.0
Take a Breather
- Impact damage increased from 30 to 70
- Cooldown reduced from 8 to 6
Whole Hog
- Healing reduced from 300 to 250
- Now lifts Roadhog while using it if he is pointed downward
SigmaExperimental Barrier
- Health increased from 300 to 400 (500 total)
- Sigma is now able to hold Jump while airborne to slow his descent
Accretion
- This ability is now disabled. It is experimental after all...
Kinetic Grasp
- Impact damage increased from 30 to 40
- Explosion damage increased from 40 to 50
- Now susceptible to Reflect/Deflect abilities, such as Defense Matrix
- Sigma now uses his “Yes” voice line after every use
- Cooldown reduced from 12 to 8 seconds
- Now increases Sigma’s movement speed by 100% while active
WinstonJump Pack
- Knockback effects are now 30% less effective against Winston
- Winston deals 100% more damage to deployable objects (Barriers, Turrets, etc.)
Primal Rage
- Now deals up to 100 damage to enemies within 4 meters of the launch location
- Travel speed increased by 30%
- Health bonus increased from 500 to 1000

- Now Cleanses status effects from allies Moira passes through and allied players that are around her when it ends
