We’ve also send feedback that the Lihuvim encounter was too constrained due to the difficulty of some of the Automa, so we want to make adjustments to open the possibility of different strategies to players. At this time, we plan to make the following adjustments with scheduled weekly maintenance on Tuesday, June 21:

    Sepulcher of the First Ones

    • Lihuvim
      • Lihuvim health reduced by 15% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Resonance Cascade damage reduced by 90% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Increased the cooldown of Guardian Automa’s Form Sentry Automa on Mythic difficulty.
    • Halondrus
      • Aftershock damage reduced by 75% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Planet Cracker Beam damage reduced by 65% and its damage occurs less frequently on Mythic difficulty.
    • Anduin Wrynn
      • Hopelessness and Overconfidence duration increased to 16 seconds on all difficulties (was 12 seconds).
      • Blasphemy will no longer be triggered when coming in contact with an unmarked player on Mythic difficulty. The tooltip will reflect this change in a future patch.
      • March of the Damned damage reduced by 75% on all difficulties.
      • Soul Explosion damage and travel speed reduced by 30% on all difficulties.
      • Banish Soul cast time increased to 16 seconds on Mythic difficulty (was 12 seconds).
      • Necrotic Detonation cast time increased by 30% on Mythic difficulty.
    • Rygelon
      • Dark Eclipse now targets 3 players on Mythic difficulty (was 4).
      • Unstable Matter health reduced by 25% on Mythic difficulty.
    • The Jailer
      • Jailer melee damage reduced by 25% on all difficulties.
      • Torment damage reduced by 30% on all difficulties mythic.
      • Unholy Eruption damage reduced by 30% on all difficulties mythic.
      • Rune of Compulsion absorb reduced by 30% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Chain Breaker now targets the nearest 3 allies on Mythic difficulty (was 4).
      • Incarnation of Torment health reduced by 20% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Diverted Life Shield reduced by 75% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Chains of Anguish will no longer reposition linked targets when the primary target moves out of range on Mythic difficulty.

    There's nerfs, and there's NERFS.

    And then there's this.

    These are N E R F S.

This isn't just to the ground, this through to the center of the earth and back again. Jesus.

blizzard is getting desperate because nobody wants to do this garbage raid. and nobody still will

why waste time on it when you can enjoy nice chilled 15-20 minutes +15s farm with your guild

when will we get news about people responsible for this tunign being fired ?

It's as if those encounters were tuned for teams of players who raid 12-14 hours per day and spend exuberant amounts of effort and resources to min/max several characters as to form the best possible raid composition with a mathematical precision. And it's as if that is an unrealistic challenge for any players who enjoy the game as a hobby, even if they are rather good themselves.

This is no mere nerfhammer, t'is a nerf nuke. I don't believe I've seen such a massive slap to a raid, ever.

Goes to show that while tuning raids up the stratosphere makes for longer and perhaps more interesting WF races, it's bad for the rest of the game.

Sorry, Blizzard. We left your game long ago.

Not all that meaningful a change for Anduin, at least on Heroic. It would be nice to see some more targeted nerfs for Heroic Dread Lords and Rygelon.

They should just change the name of the raid at this point.

The only thing it has in common is the models.

Yep. A move like this just reeks of pure desperation. 75% nerfs to abilities? Lmao. A bit late when there's no one left playing though. Which is what their metrics are telling them to do moves like these in the first place. There's a lesson to be learned about not tuning raids for WF to start with the next expansion but we'll see if Blizz is still capable of learning such things.

Even with these NERFs, I think the Jailer CE will be fairly rare if Season 4 starts in August.

More fixes to fix their broken raid.

Way too late though and too little on Jailer. It's summer, people want to be done already. Nerf this shitty design failure they call a raid boss into the ground.

    to little to late blizz.

but i canot wait for next reset and what else they will think about - because no amount of nerfs will bring people to raid.

i bet in 2 weeks we wil lsee something like

"ok we given up here is 40 % buff for players ICC style or something :P

Raid was an imbalanced mess for so long that it almost felt untested completely. Now that barely anyone is bothering even doing it, they just "to the ground"ed these mechanics to seemingly try and get people to care to try again.

Their internal metrics much look horrid.

  19. #19
So .... uh ... how badly did you have to balance the raid that you need to nerf something by, say, 90% ?

Due to all of the nerfs, what would be the total nerfs, if one counted all of them since the raid release?

Alliance Hall of Fame is only at 49. I'm guessing Season 4 is sooner then most think so this is a way to ensure it fills up so they can "end" the season. That is if there are still enough Alliance guilds raiding Mythic. It has been over a month since the Horde HoF closed.
