So retail is dead compared to classic??? [WLOGS]

Trigger Warning : it is a clip from asmongold stream but you can check on your own on wlogs

So basically the entire TBC Warlock parse population is higher than the entire Mythic Sepulcher combined.

There is something missing or truly retail is ded?

Easier bosses are easier to kill therefore more people do the easier content. If TBC Classic is easier than retail then it would stand to reason more people are playing TBC Classic end game content as opposed to retail end game content.

But more people play retail than classic. Strange.

Not to mention there are, you know, 3 different difficulties in retail raiding as compared to 1 in TBC Classic raiding. How about he takes some time to compare all of them.

How is it dead? It's quiet yea, people are on classic or other games. They'll come back. Classic won't last forever.
And well.. excuse my french but.. fuck asmongold.

I compares SWP numbers to Sepulcher Mythic, that's a stupid comparison, you would need to compare SWP with Mythic + Heroic + Normal + LFR. I think to remember that Blizzars stated that lfr was the most popular difficulty for raiding, but unfortunately we don't have numbers for it

I looked at this during BT for Elemental. I have no idea how they measure the parses in WCL, even normal didn't compare to BT. There was over 10x more elemental parses in BT than in SoD for the first boss.

Holy shit this channel is getting lots of views for these short clips

As for the logs its really not surprising. Raiding in retail is just not fun and unrewarding. Its not really a case to judge which version is more alive because raiding is not everything, and honestly these kind of conversations are rather tirsesome because only Blizzard has the real numbers so we're left with speculations from people who either shill for retail or classic.

This can't be a surprise to anyone including Blizzard right? There's no content in Retail while at the same time the most popular expansion of all is about to hit Classic.

Not that dead. Mythic raids are not even close to being the identifier of the game's health, nor should they be. Mythic raiding and rated PvP are minority groups, and yet still pampered for the most.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

Because it's manipulation. And Asmon isn't stupid, he knows how to manipulate people. Just watch older stuff, these people always make up new arguements why wow is shit or raiding unrewarding to feed their crowd. Then.. make new arguments when Blizzard fix or change stuff between expansions.

As I said in other thread, currently TBC (EU) has 3 full servers. Retail - 14. People will believe black is white, as long as Asmon will say it.

Well you're comparing the only relevant end game content in one, versus just one level (the hardest level at that) of raiding content in the waning months of an expansion, of a game that has a lot more endgame content.

Looking at Mythic+ activity over the past 2 weeks blows the SWP TBC parses out of the water. Also, none of this includes LFR, which despite what you may want to believe, is definitely the most popular type of raiding in retail.

This is also a valid point.

Wrath Classic's definitely gonna be big and a lot of people are getting ready for it.

Many raiders have switched to Mythic Plus because it is faster, more fun, easier to pug, does not require a schedule, just as rewarding and requires smaller groups. There is literally no reason to enter the overturned (now nerfed) SOTFO when you get can mythic tier in mythic plus and the creation catalyst.
Pally Collector, 650+ Mounts, 1600+ Pets, 600+ Toys, 30000+ achieves.

The people who make those clips and youtube videos for Asmongold are awful and make everything too clickbaity. Asmon has specifically shown these stats to prove a point about retail raiding, not about the retails entire playerbase.

Could someone elaborate for me - Is he comparing numbers on how many people are CLEARING Sunwell versus CLEARING Sepulcher? My guild is probably around the average, and they've yet to kill Jailer on heroic. It doesn't seem like a fair comparison to me at least.

Also - He compares destruction warlocks who - As far as I've been told - are one of the best DPS specs in SWP. A friend of mines raid has six of them. It honestly doesn't seem like a fair way to measure things.

C'mon Asmondgold - You can do better than this.

This is such an impossibly stupid comparison. Use your critical thinking skills people. All you can do in TBC is raid. In retail most people are playing M+, dailies, transmog and doing whatever the fuck else retail players do. You know, shit that people aren't going to be logging. You cannot reasonably use WCL to monitor the population of the retail game or make an even remotely fair comparison between the two. The retail game isn't in a great place but this type of comparison is completely fucking brainless and serves as little more than rageporn for bitter ex-WoW players who can't move the fuck on from the game.

I mean, even if you just want to stick to WCL to monitor the population of retail, there's:
    -3,370,712 Sunwell parses
    and
    -6,255,783 Mythic+ parses

so it's still not in Classic's favor.

Lol not this shit again. Oh no, there are more parses of a somewhat easy classic raid than the highest difficulty of an already pretty difficult raid in retail. Retail must therefore be dead.

    Absolutely fucking brainless.

Do not worry. Playing with green geckos who can't even dress an xmog properly is the biggest request since Vanilla.
Then DragonFlight will bring all players back.

Like I said, this is little more than ragebait. These videos are just farming kekW's in the chat from now-middle-aged ex-WoW players who can't get over the fact that their old waifu has changed and doesn't like them anymore.
