I feel like my excitement for this is more of a "hmm interesting ok" than "wow this looks epic." I think that might be a healthy indicator because blizzard got that out of me for wod, bfa, and sl and none of them were able to hold up to the announcement hype. Legion would be the exception there.

I feel about it how I felt about mop. Not hype train level but curious and generally positive.

I'd say I'm a 6 or 7. Excited to hopefully play dracthyr at least during the prepatch.

8 because raiding and mythic plus are fun and those will continue to be fun in DF so I dont see why my hype should be any lower.

So far its beyond dissapointing.

1) we cannot normaly fly on our 21287381273 dragons just glide on 1 provided by system
2)gliding will be gated liek helli bet now diamonds again nuts
3_instead giving us 8 new dungeons in m+ we only get 4 new and 4 old rehased one
4)they are bringing back toxicity in form of removal of personal loot - guilds will again extort loot from players
5)its rushed like hell - everyone know that it should be summer/autumn 2023 release - instead we will get another beta launch devoided of content.
6)no casual friendly content was announced yet - its still usual content only for top 5%.

so far my verdict is - i will stick to playing FF14 primarily - nothing they do in DF will bring back casual crowds back to wow.

So long as there's no AP and whatnot, that's a kinda normal testing considering all they gotta really worry about is balancing and listening to feedback with what they currently have planned.

4. Outside of the new race, there's still much to be seen AND proven. Especially from the game design and story team who are mainly responsible for the mess of BFA and SL

A solid 8. Current SL is in a state I really like, no more farming to do just what I like : dungeons and raid. I clocked a few hundreds dungeon runs in season 3, the season I played the most since M+ exist. Season 4 looks really interesting too with the raids refresh, more sceptic on the 6 old dungeons coming back (more disappointed that SL dungeons, outside tazavesh, will be gone in 3 weeks for M+)

With DF looking like they finally cut all the BS borrowed power farm, it looks really good indeed. I like the theme, I still like wow, it’s more new things to do. It can be really good, we’ll see.

Zero. So far what I have seen from the alpha dragon riding is ok but what else is there to keep us playing? Dragon Riding is not going to carry a whole expac, also the Dracthry look terrible. Some weird furries have been given to much power at blizzard smfh

Zones, Dragonriding and most of the things I've seen look great so far. Tier Sets are insane and looking forward to see some colour varieties for other difficulties/PVP.

Unfortunately Evoker looks extremely daft. Derp Dragon is questionable and only having limited visage options (Belf Male/Human Female) when Chromie is a Gnome makes no sense. Talent Trees will end up being Cookie Cutter. Just a case of more complicated to browse Wowhead/Ice-Veins/Class Discords for. Also the idea of the first Season of M+ having only 4 of the 8 new dungeons for me is beyond stupid. If you have a brand new Expansion, at least for Season 1 show off all your new Dungeons. No issue with it Season 2, but to premiere Dragonflight with Court of Star/Temple of the Jade Serpent is questionable to me.

As I said, still has decent hype. Looks cool as long as it isn't rushed. I'm sure I'll try Evoker's because why not. The S1 M+ Rotation is making me not really look forward to half of Mythic+ in DF but what can you do.

My hype level is very tame. I like it more than Shadowlands, but not necessarily excited yet. 5/10. And what we've seen now about Dragonriding is outright terrible and looks like that.

BfA and Shadowlands burnt to many bridges.

I'm mostly worried about it being thread bare on content. I don't really care about a new class and beyond thinking the talent trees are pointless I don't hate the fact they exist....

I just don't want to run 4 new dungeons and 4 I've already beaten before. Sure I know I can run the 8 new ones by mythic is the difficulty I do maybe once or twice for dungeons and that's it.

Torghast and Island Expeditions are their own issues and had their concerns imo since day 1

Currently dragonriding is suffering from the same DH/heroic leap/blink/water camera bug which disconnects you. Maybe they finally fix that bug for Dragonriding purposes.

That being said, even the harshests critics have been somewhat positive about it. So that bodes well.

Will other players pronouns be visible? Like I saw you can change yours but will that basically just be for stuff like quest text, or will it like appear on your tool tip on bottom right next to level, race,class, guild

I'm voting 7, while I love a lot of the ideas being proposed, I want to see what weird way Blizzard decides to make them untenable before I decided to be hyped or not.

An example being the conduit changes at launch, where were they limited? What's fun about that?

Idk if you have payed attention to the alpha or not, but balancing is not even close to the only thing they need to work on.

This is a straight up early development alpha by everyone’s definition of the word, and they have just months to finish.

I find it hilarious a lot of people kept saying “just wait till we see alpha we didn’t have blizzcon this year so I’m sure it’s way further along than we think”.

It’s 100% not further along than we think. At this point they better set some groundbreaking deadlines and fix the game faster than anyone has ever seen this company do before or they will 100% delay it. It’s not looking great at this moment.

Gonna be a 3 for me. While there's some aspects of it that could be good if executed correctly, there's even more ways Blizz could fall on their face in terms of design choices. Given the past two expansions, I'm more inclined to lean towards the latter. The burden of proof's ultimately on them, and what Blizz has shown of it so far hasn't had a single true "WOW" moment in general for me.

Nothing I've seen excites me. There's a vague hope maybe something could show up, which is why I don't give it a 1, but otherwise the game is dead to me.

The fact you've had this opinion since at least early 2021 and you're still here talking about how bad the game is and so on is just so comical. Glad I bookmarked your post history page 6~ months ago.
