    Fated raids difficulty`?

So I have no care about the raids, dont know the tactics really, and I just wanna get my mount. Will it just be toxic if I join a pug for normal mode? Cba having to buy 3x boosts, but I worry the mount will be removed when DF launches...And I hate missing out on mounts. I can carry my own weight in most cases, 268 feral druid, but I just have no desire to wipe.

And im sure many people like me :&

just learn the tactics if you don't want to wipe.

The fated raids are not hard, really. But since there are some 1-shot mechanics that wipe you, others or the raid you should at least know those mechanics.

You should have no problem PuGing this on normal for the cat mount IMO.

My very average/casual raid managed to steam roll through normal mode in a single night. Other than one wipe in the ballroom because Frieda's Soul Spikes ability is bugged (protip: do not try to kill her last, my friends), we one shot everything. Most people knew the fights already from doing Nathria at release, but some did not. Overall the tuning seems pretty reasonable for Normal (easy, but you still need to know mechanics for the most part).

I expect this to be highly PuGable, and I also expect there to be a lot of PuGs out there doing this. Many guilds are not bothering with S4 raiding (since it's mostly just a content gap filler anyway) so I suspect there will be quite a lot of people tossing together quick groups of randoms for this.

As a raid leader, I have a hard time suggesting anyone can just wing a fight without being familiar with mechanics especially since there are some fights where you will kill other people too if you don't know what you are doing, but I think this is the kind of thing where you can watch some quick 1minute summary videos for each fight and be just fine.

Learning the tactics on 30 bosses is daunting. Thats the issue. Raiding in wow is like a club, once you know how to get in, its easy to repeat it. But if you aint keeping up during the 2 years...

Then don't ? What do you expect us to say. Either learn the bosses like we all did or don't and take the risk of wiping the raid.
But don't call it "toxicity" when you're kicked from a raid you didn't dare learn the basics.

Cleared Heroic tonight with Guild (7/11 Mythic SOFO) in three hours. Didn't seem too bad for us, had one or two wipes (Me and the other weren't tanking in CN so had to learn the bosses a bit) and a few mechanic messups (Xy'mox Seeds). Other than that it didn't seem bad, relatively undertuned for our gear (278 average) and the Affixes didn't really change much.

We're going Mythic tomorrow which they've already done a 15% HP Buff to everything so that might be more interesting. Try and get a few bosses down for Vault, see what we remember (ended 6/10 Mythic back in CN).

I mean, you don't need to learn all of them at once. Only one raid is out a week so you can space them out across multiple weeks. Besides that, you could easily just watch or read a short summary of strategy for each one during trash on the way to the next one. Then you don't even need to store the mechanics in your head for very long.

Despite the fact Blizzard puts 948570485704 mechanics in every fight now, normal is easy and most of the mechanics are inconsequential or very obvious "don't stand in bad things." Really all you need to know is the mechanics that can kill people or are core to how the fight is done which is, like, maybe one thing per encounter. It's bad enough if you die a lot but if you're killing other people too, you're not going to endear yourself to the raid leader, and you probably don't want to end up booted for it.

My 3/11 M SFO guild blew through the first 9 bosses on Heroic in one night, and Sire took us about an hour due to silly shenanigans. If that's the case I assume Normal will be a cakewalk very fast considering it's week 1, most everyone can get BiS items even from LFR eventually and my guild usually gets AOTC one and a half months in.

I've found mythic to be easier but it's a hard metric for me to judge... is the fight easier or is it simply the fact I've done all the fights already and the new fates mechanics don't really impact most fights that drastically...

Mythic plus feels easier to I think it's just a victory lap season myself.

For OP just check the highlighted part of your dungeon journal and have two leggos and tier equipped and you will be more then fine. For normal I would argue the tier is optional.

Joined a pug y'day for normal ( 265 I'll ) and it took us around 2 hours. Had tons of people including myself that never had done some of the bosses before. 5 wipes in total due to personal mistakes. It is a walk in the park on normal pretty much. I play TBC myself and I would rank SWP harder for example just to give you an overview how easy normal is in SL. Do the affix correct and it helps a tons.

My guess is that the mount will be removed once DF is released.

Normal is a cakewalk so far. Nothing really threatening or remotely difficult - just keep an eye on the new adds and learn wat they do because if you do them well you'll get nice dps buffs (so 4 mechanics in total, each boss has a single one of them and it's the same every time).

Apparently it's not a buff, just a fix. Scaling was bugged in all senses - less hp, wrong displayed values and also player damage not counted correctly. Treat it as a tooltip fix.
You tried, and you failed. What have you learned? That's better not to try at all.

Good to hear. I also play TBCC (Granted havent done BT or SWP, due to slacking off), so that helps ^^ Hope to join a pug then and just hide in the shadows. Haven't raided properly in wow since Cata, 350 wipes on heroic Ragnaros...Done, cba. Raiding in wow now days is like reading a book with so many mechanics.

Edit: So already 1 hour+ gone...only did 3 bosses in random pug I joined. Now people starting to bicker and we had to replace ppl...Sigh. I fucking knew it. This is why WoW is dying.

2nd edit cause why not: Now people left after 4th boss is down cause they ran out of time..:Bitch your raiding, make time or dont join in the first place. This is why I just sit on my ass and make gold in gold on the AH and buy boosts. Toxic AF.

3rd edit: Whew...Done. Okay, its still majorly overtuned. One-shot mechanics you haft to do, and ppl haft to know what to do on every boss. Again wow is a dead game, and this is why...5 hours of pugging, we had to replace ppl 6 times. So much waste of time as Asmongold also says, with summons, wipes, running etc.

Tactics you have to do... Oh no! Well thats the core part of raiding...
I really dont understand why you do something you dont like doing even if its for a mount
But complaining that you need to play the game to play the game. Maybe quit wow?

WoW is dying because people who don't bother to learn raid encounters and want to be carried get replaced in PUGS. Cool.

People prioritizing RL over a PUG raid is "Toxic AF". Got it.

OVERtuned? This is the easiest raid tier of the expansion. It has never been so easy to PUG clear a hc raid on day one, partly because the mechanics are known, but mostly because the buffs you get from the fated affixes make it like really easy.

"Overtuned because you have to do mechanics and people have to know what to do on every boss" has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever read on these forums. And I've read a lot over the years...

SO to get this straight.... you think people prioritizing real life over a video game is toxic... but you refusing to learn basic af mechanics for normal and expecting to get carried is not? And you think WoW is "dying " due to the former... ok bruh

Another proof that the ones screaming about toxicity are often the toxic ones.

For normal tier it's not really, there's usually only 1 really punishing mechanic and it's fairly obvious/slow the other mechanics are forgiving enough for you to make the odd mistake. Any average player should be able to spend 5min reading the mechanics on Icy-Veins or watch a 5min video and be able to do the fight. Hell just do what DBM tells ya and you should be fine.

If your not willing to spend 5min per boss reading the mechanics then that means you just want to be carried, your not pulling your weight and yes IMO that is toxic because your wasting everyone elses time.

WoW is dying because the bosses have mechanics you actually have to do...? I know right imagine having to actually play the game. /s

Jesus christ. So you want people to use external sources to learn the game. And you wonder why people dont want to raid in WoW. GG. Bro I haven't bothered to raid seriously since end of cata. I was a heroic (Mythic) sweaty person, who did my 350 wipes on heroic ragnaros...I can play just fine, even to this day, but the fact is that raids in wow only keeps getting more and more toxic for average people to bother doing. PS I only wiped that raid I did ONCE, because they didnt even bother telling tactic before we pulled sludge (Tank the boss where he stands, and yes I did all pillars perfectly next pull...), and I was tanking since 2nd boss because RL wanted me too, blindly no tactics

Man wow is so fucking screwed with peoples mentality...It seems like the community actually think this is fine.

Im just from another time. Back when raiding was commitment. Again I dont raid now. At least in TBCC or classic you never had people leaving raids...I raided a lot in TBCC and never saw that behaviour, even in karazhan....And I did like 20-25 KZ runs at least. But I guess raiding now is just so w/e...pug lol fuck you my rules LFG system.

I one shot N F Nathria last week in a pug except for Council Boss cause we killed them in the wrong order (Remember: WoW is NSF W)

The secret to my success? DBM and reading the Dungeon Journal a bit between bosses.

Step 1: get a high enough Item Level to do LFR
Step 2: Clear out LFR, paying attention to DBM yelling at you "RANGE 5" "RANGE 5" "MOVE. KEEP MOVING"
Step 3: Take what you learned in LFR and apply it to Normal.

Congratulations. You're on your way to your Jigglesworth Mount
